This was a surprisingly great listen

This was a surprisingly great listen. I knew the book was a bestseller for some time, and I saw that it was super cheap on the Kindle, so for some reason, I got it. It was long, and I was not sure about the topic, but once I started listening to it, a few things happened. I realized that a ton of people has quoted it in other books. This book or the research behind it is highly influential. Over and over again, a few of the topics were addressed in other works.

The documentation behind the content is totally consuming and informative. Gladwell's literary and journalistic skills in the real world make a compelling listen. I use it as a reference work as a guide to understanding the period of polar separation the US presently faces politically, militarily, economically, and diplomatically. This is an excellent guide to discerning and pursuing resistance programs on a national level.

I had a hard time believing it myself

Yes, with all the hate and strife that religion is causing us, it is difficult to believe that all the world's religions contain the same message of love. I had a hard time believing it myself, but it is the truth. What the author has done is he has collected the esoteric teachings and put them in words which the layman could understand, so instead of reading the ancient Hindu and Buddhist texts which are rife with symbolism, you can listen to this book where all the symbols are deciphered.

Media opinions and an ignorant resistance of anything to do with the field and study of psychology provided a foundation for my determination not to listen to Dr. Peterson. Then I watched an interview done by a man I love and respect; a man I’ve met in person more than once, Dennis Prager. After watching the interview and listen to Dr. Peterson I immediately downloaded the book and could put it down.

Whenever I meet someone who seems bright, has a joy for life, has all the ingredients for success ... but they're a crashing bore and/or they're just plain irritating ... I give them this book. I really and truly think that giving away this book can make a positive difference for the world. All of my kids, nieces, nephews, grand-cousins, etc, received this book upon their high school graduation. Simply put, it's one of the most powerful books ever drafted. Don't just buy it for yourself. Give it as a gift to others.
