Historia
In early 2018, Larry Nassar, the former doctor for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, was sentenced to serve out the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to a variety of sex crimes. New York Times best-selling author Mary Pilon and Carla Correa chronicle the scandal from its inception, tracking the institutions that Nassar hid behind, the athletic culture that he benefited from, and the women who eventually brought him to justice.

A tough but worthwhile listen
Revisado: 09-28-21
It is tough to hear the tragic circumstances that led to so many girls being hurt over so long a time. I only wish that the people that dismissed the reports could be held accountable for their roles.

Historia
The legendary writer and performer of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers fame takes listeners on a grand tour of his ascent in the entertainment world John Cleese’s huge comedic influence has stretched across generations; his sharp irreverent eye and the unique brand of physical comedy he perfected now seem written into comedy’s DNA. In this rollicking memoir, Cleese recalls his humble beginnings in a sleepy English town, his early comedic days at Cambridge University (with future Python partner Graham Chapman), and the founding of the landmark comedy troupe.

A great look inside a truly funny man
Revisado: 05-30-17
Would you listen to So, Anyway... again? Why?
Absolutely, if for no other reason than to hear John's voice explain the origin of some of his classic sketches. The story behind the Parrot Sketch is pretty funny, and his accounting of the boys school recess instructions is priceless.
Any additional comments?
A must read for any Python or Cleese (Cheese as it turns out) fan.

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

Still a classic a must read.

I had read this in high school over 30 years ago. (1981) and was surprised how much I recalled. My son had just read it and it prompted me to revisit it. It has a stark view of totalitarian Government control and has some applicability to some of the situations going on today. It is definitely worth reading.

I like the pace and delivery of the novels I just wish he would pronounce REMF as an acronym not an initialism.
