Excelente retrospectiva con una narrativa maestra

Martín lo vuelve a hacer, un libro buenísimo. Proporciona una retrospectiva coherente con la realidad de un tiempo breve antes/inicios de la pandemia. Una crónica sencilla y lúcida. Y Javier Gómez es sin duda la voz perfecta.
Realmente recomendado. Este es una de mis joyas en mi biblioteca.

Fantástico, excelente perspectiva del hambre a través de distintos lugares

Una narración excelente de un libro excelente. Por ratos muy intenso por otros entretenido y otros más bien triste. Al final, es uno esos libros que deja a uno en reflexión. Altamente recomendado.

I read the book then needed to get the audiobook

This is fantastic, what a magnificent development of the very intricate ways we think and act.
I read the book and I had to buy the audiobook. The narrator has the right emphasis and tone (and I'll say almost the same accent as the writer). This is highly recommended.

Una verdadera delicia con una fantástica narración

Una profunda mirada al humano con grandezas y debilidades, lo sórdido y majestuoso del espíritu beligerante y bondadoso del caudillo. Con una narración fantástica por Rene Sagastume, Eugenio Aguirre transmite un capitulo histórico con una sencillez brillante, entendible y espléndida.

Well developed historic/fiction + good narration

Fantastic book, very well articulated with good historical depictions, few cases with imprecise or contradictory data to other historians but in general the story is very good. Written in first person provides a sense of human nature with the good and evil converging through the pores of the skin. That's the good.

During the first part (probably first 3 hrs) the narrator reads with a regionalized accent with an unnatural tone, sort of weird/fake reading, but after that part, the narrators gets very well and his reading is more articulated with pauses and emphasis depicting the picture of the character just as if you could be listening Santa Ana himself and his contemporaries.
