Honestly not entirely sure what other reviewers were listening to but I have listened to this book more than once and found it to be a great book. Each time I listened I found out more and more about my favorite president. The narrator even makes you feel as though it could be Roosevelt himself telling his story. Of course you can't please everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely listen to it again and again.

great old fashioned story.

I remember watching the movie ghost and the darkness years ago. after finding out it was based on a true story I wanted to learn more so I found the book and read it and then I discovered this one. I was and am not disappointed a very good reading of it I highly recommend it.

It wasn't until the end I realized this book was part of a much larger universe. It goes all the way back to the Jack Manson deathcalling project which I had listened to years ago. Thats when i noticed jack Manson and how he seemed to appear in several different books by the author and in different time periods it made no since until i went back and started from the beginning and it was this book that put me on the trail.

It took awhile for this one to come out. its pretty short but interesting to see how Bathory gathered her villains.

Its not the best of the M series but it is a fun listen. and it continues into the seventies where the previous ones were more near the turn of the century I believe. I do hope there are more to come.

Theodore Roosevelt and werewolves!

The book takes place in Victorian New York. That al;one made me want to listen to this book. Then there is a werewolves running a muck, and who can stop it non other Than good old TR. along with Harry Houdini and, well I want to leave a few surprises.

Sgt Kind is back at it. Its not as great as the previous books but it is still good to see where the book is taking you and guess what it takes you all the way back to the 1950'

Finally all three M books together, and the new narrator wow! I understand from the author's website that this was brought out to usher his newest Book of M in. I have them all and cannot wait for the newest one.

I have been following this author's work for some time. And this book is probably my favorite. Then I discovered it is part of a much larger series so now I grab my popcorn and crank up my i phone and listen.

First let me say I love the old noir stuff. The days of Edward g Robinson, James Cagney and all the old tough talking no nonsense guys and in some cases ladies. And in my opinion this books fits right in. It follows jack Manson A GRIZZLED POLICE DETECTIVE LIVING IN A CRIME RUN CITY OF DETROIT. The book has a rogues Gallery that Chester Gould would be proud of. If you a fan of the genre you have to give it a listen.
