Historia
In This Is Me, Chrissy Metz shares her story with a raw honesty that will leave listeners both surprised but also inspired. Infused with the same authenticity she brings to her starring role, Chrissy's This Is Me is so much more than your standard Hollywood memoir or collection of personal essays. She embraces the spirit of Shonda Rhimes' Year of Yes and shares how she has applied the lessons she learned from both setbacks and successes. A born entertainer, Chrissy finds light in even her darkest moments and leaves the listener feeling they are spending time with a friend who gets it.

I enjoyed this read. I especially enjoyed the author narrating her own work. She was animated, authentic and precocious. Her story resonated with me. Thoroughly enjoyed hearing her voice. It was like we were having an intimate conversation with me, and me alone.

Disappointment in marketing
Revisado: 06-04-18
I got this read in a box set "Frisky Romance Box collection" Featured 6 books by this author, Lexy Timms. What they don't say is that each book is the #1 book in a series. Which means there are 3-5 more books you will need to purchase for all 6 books, you already purchased. I didn't find the need to shell out $$$ for a mediocre read. I ended up requesting a refund. Story line is very predictable for the 1st two books in this collection. I didn't bother reading the next 4. Disappointment, to say the least about how the collection is marketed. Not upfront that you will need to shell out nearly $50 to read book series in the collection.

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Diamond in the rough! Started slow!
Revisado: 03-30-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Describing Ove's everyday tasks, was boring to me! As I continued the book, I realized it was necessary in creating Ove's character. But for me made the book a slow read.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Maybe a little more about Ove and Sonia's life and their time during her illness.
What didn’t you like about George Newbern’s performance?
It aggrevated me throughout the entire story that the narrator called Ove"Ova"!
Could you see A Man Called Ove being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
It already is a movie. I could see Morgan Freeman playing Ove. Maybe a mini series; like 6-9 episodes. I'm not sure who would play the other roles.
Any additional comments?
I wasn't really engaged in this book right off the bat. However, I hung in there. I found myself laughing out loud at times, and crying at other times. It was worth hanging in there to the end.
