Historia
The Sahara Desert, 1887: A hotbed of pirates, tomb raiders, and general ne'er-do-wells. It’s not exactly the ideal place for Hex Bartholomew, dirigible pilot and former child-thief, to go straight. Trouble soon finds her at the mouth of an ancient tomb and in the company of bloody-minded treasure hunters, angry Bedouins, and a resurrected Pharaoh... But Hex is fairly sure Pharaohs don't speak with snooty British accents.

Love this series!
Revisado: 03-28-21
I love this three book series. It’s steampunk, time travel, adventure and romance. After a while, the mispronunciations become less jarring and just kinda flow by. Don’t blame the author for the narrator’s shortcomings, give this series a read or a listen. It stacks up well against authors like AW Exley, Meljean Brook and Bec McMaster.

Historia
London: 1896. Airships rule the skies, and automatons run the tracks at Ascot. Since the Great Exhibition of 1851, Her Majesty's Empire has been powered by the Steam Revolution and welding science. It is a time of glorious innovation and dangerous civil unrest. But Miss Aline Finch, prim, plain career girl, has more important things on her mind than the state of the Empire. After her employer, the handsome but insufferable criminologist, Professor Romanov, hares off for parts unknown in a slightly-illegal dirigible, stranding her in France, she has finally had enough.

Great series!
Revisado: 03-25-21
I love Margaret Foxe ( who is also Maggie Fenton — read those too! Funny and sexy.)
I never write reviews but I am in this case BECAUSE this great series needs to be read more. I’d put this series up against Bec McMasters’, AW Exley’s and Meljean Brook’s London-based steampunk supernatural romances. The only downside to the audiobook is that the reader can’t pronounce simple words, the recording sounds like it was spliced together to correct her worst flubs and she sounds like she recorded the narration in her bathroom, it’s all echo-y. BUT it’s still a great read so I don’t want to punish the author.

Historia
Reaching through The Knot Hole to past moments in time....Taryn always wondered about how realistic her mothers’ tales were that she was told. They seemed like fantastic and fun adventures. Now with Taryn's mother gone, she will realize that her mother wasn't just telling stories....she was really living them. Time has passed and Taryn has uncovered the power of The Knot Hole and the travels that await her. The Knot Hole, The Passage, and The Muse - the three audiobooks in The Crossing Series - will take you on a journey from many years past to the present.

Recorded in a closet?
Revisado: 03-19-20
I’m so sorry, I really tried. The writing just plods and the narration doesn’t sound professional, both in the delivery and the the audio quality. I think Alexa could read it better, but that wouldn’t help the writing. Please consider using beta readers and an editor, and if you already are, fire them.
