Historia
Fight is the backstage story of bloodsport politics in its rawest form—the clawing, backstabbing, and rabble-rousing that drove Donald Trump into the White House and Democrats into the wilderness. At every turn, the combatants went for the jugular, whether they were facing down rivals in the other party or their own.

Interesting enough to finish
Revisado: 04-26-25
Some interesting content but it seems there was an effort to fill space. Silly over use of the F word seems like an attempt to be edgy. I thought it would be a balanced review of the election. It was not. Written through the lens of the MSMs anti Trump rhetoric.

Historia
It was long ago, but not as long as it seems: The Berlin Wall fell and the Twin Towers collapsed. In between, one presidential election was allegedly decided by Ross Perot while another was plausibly decided by Ralph Nader. Landlines fell to cell phones, the internet exploded, and pop culture accelerated without the aid of technology that remembered everything. It was the last era with a real mainstream to either identify with or oppose. The ’90s brought about a revolution in the human condition, and a shift in consciousness, that we’re still struggling to understand.

Interesting subject matter.

I’d recommend. Stays interesting but very slanted to the left with the issues of the time. Might be rated a tad higher with consistent narrating. It weirdly goes from the nasally author to a professional without explanation.

Historia
In June 1990, Ronald Baker, a straight-A UCLA student, was found repeatedly stabbed to death in a tunnel near Spahn Ranch, where Charles Manson and his followers once lived. Shortly thereafter, Detective Rick Jackson and his partner, Frank Garcia, were assigned the case. Yet the facts made no sense. Who would have a motive to kill Ron Baker in such a grisly manner? Was the proximity to the Manson ranch related to the murder? And what about the pentagram pendant Ron wore around his neck? Jackson and Garcia soon focused their investigation on Baker’s two male roommates, one Black, and one white.

Fairly interesting story
Revisado: 03-22-25
Fairly interesting story and nicely narrated. Author kind of over hyped himself, that I wasn’t expecting. Also took some liberal conclusions and made a ridiculous comparison at the end regarding the race element.
Would have been three stars if I didn’t have to listen to Michael Connelly at the beginning.

Historia
A sinister cabal of corrupt law enforcement personnel, intelligence agents, and military officials at the highest levels of government plotted to overthrow a president. Even after they failed, they continue to secretly pull the levers of power without any accountability to the American people. This isn’t the synopsis of a fictional spy thriller. This is what is actually happening in the United States government.

Please stop with the virtue signaling. I get it, you hate Trump.
It’s not plausible that she would stash a key outside of her car, she’d have a waterproof container and carry it with her. And it’d be a FOB, not a key.
