Okay, let's be honest. You shouldn't want to like this sort of content, but like car accidents, you can't help but look. I was disturbed that I was drawn into this story and felt disgust at times that I was so intrigued. However, the author does such a great job of revealing facets of Olivia and Caleb that are worth investing in. She helps you move beyond the superficial situation to believe in what could be there between them. You really start to understand and sympathize with each character’s plight and hope for a way out for them both. They are both damaged, but are stronger because of it. It’s strange to see something grow between them given the situation, but you can’t help but hope they will rise above it all. I will be listening to the next book to find out how they get to their HEA. Obviously they will, but I can't wait to find out how. It's a great story and great narration. Don't miss this one.

I've listened to this book twice just to be sure I loved it as much as I thought I did the first time. I DO! The narration is probably the biggest reason, but I enjoyed the story too. Shane East just did it for me. Checking out Raine Miller's website shows that there will be a book 4. Yay!!! I hope it's also made into an audiobook WITH THE SAME NARRATORS PLEASE! I can't wait to find out how the entire story plays out. This series will definitely remain one of my favorites and I highly recommend it.

What a great series so far! After reading Part 2 I immediately started the series over again. The narration is fantastic and Shane East is my new favorite male narrator. What a sexy voice. I truly hope he picks up another series because he is amazing.

The great thing about this story so far is that it does a great job balancing the drama, sex, and character development. I never once got bored and wanted to jump ahead or wish they would stop repeating the same phrases. The story is so well written that I was easily drawn into the emotions of the characters and experiencing the story along with them. It was also fun to hear all the British slang; especially Ethan’s internal dialog. There were many LOL moments.

This series should not be compared to FSOG or the Crossfire series. It's in a league of its own. I will be starting Part 3 upon submitting this review. I can’t wait!

This was a short and sweet listen that immediately sucked me in. Yes there are many similarities to 50 shades and the Crossfire novels, but the story is different enough to snag you. I loved the narration split between Grace and Shane. It's a nice change in listening and Shane just flat out did it for me. He ranks right up there with Phil Gigante. I’m a sucker for great accents. I'm also a believer in love at first site and I like stories where the love interests quickly recognize their attraction and act on it. The book ends with broken trust, so thankfully the other two are already available. I’ve jumped into book two without hesitation and I can't wait to finish the series. Don't pass this one up.

I loved this book far more than I had expected. How Nalini Singh was able to take a character so unlikeable and untrustworthy and turn him into an amazing hero is a testament to her talent. What I really liked is how she didn’t use the typical angst or games to bring these two together. I knew early on they belonged together and was excited to see it all evolve.

The heroine was rescued by the hero after years of torture and he painstakingly brought her back to life and sanity. As he did the story of their past was revealed and how it had irrevocably shaped him. While his image of their future and the future of the world at times seems harsh, you quickly learn that his every decision in life was/is determined by his love for her. Her character was equally compelling. Her Psy conditioning was fractured which allowed her to feel things from an early age. This ability allowed her to reach out and touch the lives of those who desperately needed love and care. That gift brought them together in the past and will keep them together in the future. At the beginning I was worried she would be a weak character, but in the end she was the strongest character.

The rest of the story was fantastic as well. All the characters from the past came together to save lives and save their collective futures. You always knew the changelings had a future due to their love and loyalty, but it was hard to imagine how the Psy future could be a positive one. I think with the changes revealed in this book the Psy future has the potential to be better than it ever had a chance of before. I can’t wait to see where Nalini takes this series. Initially I thought I would stop at this book, but there’s no chance of that happening now.

Not sure why so many on Amazon are giving this 5 stars. Not sure what Keri Arthur is thinking these days. Maybe she's becoming like Gena Showalter and no longer interested in the details of the relationships in her books. While I'm all for a great story line I also read these books for their love interests and how they ultimately come together. After reading page after page and nothing more than hints about Risa and Azriel's growing relationship, we get a rape scene with more details than the love scenes. WTH? On top of that, Risa can't seem to make intelligent choices to save her life....literally. A sign of that was the bad feeling she was having up to entering the warehouse, yet she does it anyway. A bigger sign was the ending. It just blew me away. She gives Lucian the benefit of the doubt a dozen times and one perceived mistake on Azriel’s part signifies the end. Talk about ungrateful and small-minded thinking. It was over the top. Beyond all that you have the meandering of Hunter’s schemes which add nothing to the story line. You also have the incredibly strong, intelligent family members better equipped to deal with the situation yet she keeps them in the dark. I loved her Guardian Series, but have felt cheated since the start of this one. She never lets Risa grow nor learn from her mistakes. She doesn’t let Risa have the intelligence to reach out to those who might know more than she does. She writes Risa as weak minded and weak acting. Risa is a far cry from Riley Jensen. This series is just a shadow of the Guardian Series. By the end I was totally done and have decided I will not buy the rest of the series. Maybe if it comes to my local library and my disappointment has abated, I’ll listen to the final books. Maybe.

What did you love best about Deadly Game?

Ken was broken in every way, but stronger than any man could hope to be.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ken. After his torture he struggled to find ways to live and remain human. He found his humanity in spades.

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't stick to one favorite scene. There were two that wouldn't let me go. When he was there with Marigold through the doctor's examination. He took her away from that horror. Then he saved her from the rape by the one she thought was her friend. Both reeled me in and broke my heart. She was so brave and it was sad that she had to be.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Broken Beauty, Broken Beast

Would you consider the audio edition of Conspiracy Game to be better than the print version?

Absolutely. Tom Stechschutle brings the story to life.

What did you like best about this story?

The action mixed with the love story. Great balance that reels you in. Some books are over-sexed with very little plot. This book mixes the two in perfect measure.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Briony asks Jack for help. They are so conflicted over the situation yet unable to pull away from each other.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I did. It was so compelling that I listed again in case I missed something.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this series. I've listened to them all more than once. One of my favorite series.

I know many think this series is a rip-off of the Black Daggar Brotherhood, which I'm completely devoted to, but I'm really starting to like it for what it is. Yes, there are some similarities in the speaking style and the branding of products, but the stories are completely different. There are enough differences to make listening worthwhile. I really like how both characters are quickly drawn together. I really get bored with the typical romance novels that keep the hero or heroine fighting until the end before finally giving in to what they both want. This series focuses more on the external struggles while allowing the couples to quickly accept their need to be together. The bad guys are really bad and the good guys are really good. The author does a great job of connecting you with each character. Overall I highly recommend giving this series a chance and look forward to what the author has in store for all the other Night Fury members.

A little bit of heaven and a little bit of sadness. I so loved Karen Marie Moning's highlander series. It's sad to know that she's probably done with it. Every book in the series was magical. When Into The Dreaming was offered as an audiobook I immediately jumped on it. It was a short, but fulfilling story. KM Moning's highlanders coupled with Phil Gigante's narration means stories on steroids no matter how short. It's a combination that can't be beat.
