Beautifully written, wonderfully narrated, thoughtful, and inspiring. I cannot recommend it enough. It is interesting that the book was written in 1985 but feels like it was penned much more recently, adding an eerie prophetic air to it… definitely makes folding laundry and washing dishes much more interesting!

If you enjoy WW2 history and spy stories, you will like this book.

I enjoyed this book. The gal reading it seems to be trying to sound subtle? Possibly more spy like? But it comes across as a bit monotone at times. Her accents are well done and she did a good job over all. I struggled a bit to keep track of what was currently happening versus what was being referred to in the past. I was also trying to do house cleaning chores while listening and have 3 kids running around and wanting to talk to me- so it could definitely be a me problem😂 I enjoyed it. It would be fun to listen with a printed out map and track her travels. I also felt like a time line would be a helpfulIf visual for me. And yeah, I gave up my “cool card” years ago if I ever had one. 😂 If you are interested in true stories of heroism, heartbreak, the value of freedom, and intelligence and bravery winning in the face of great adversity, you will like it too.
Warning for all the people with kids, there are quite a few graphic and gruesome torture scenes so this one is a good “ear bud” book and not for the sensitive or faint of heart.

This was an excellent book. If, like me, you are waking up to the watered down version of the histories great men and women we were fed in school, you will love this family friendly and exciting story of Dr Livingston’s extraordinary life.
