Good narration - at times haunting

I liked Scheck’s narration of what appears to be his own book. The voice accompanies the story of this book well, which is very much about haunting memories and depressing news and how one can survive and even redeem oneself.

What lies hidden in the forest? If you like nicely paced books that slowly reveal what is going on, this will interest you. I decided to download the audio version too since I like to listen when on the move, then read when at bed at time. Complex, and with enough mystery to keep you going .

I found this to be both quite original and refeshing in its approach to helping me set goals. It’s one of my key weaknesses, never knowing quite how to prioritize my actions of the day, week, and even month. I think it was the combination of the narrators voice and practical approach taken by the author that worked for me.

I’ve had it with these stock traders gaming the system. RobinHood are a disgrace in how they have manipulated my investments in company shares. So it’s time to invest in something new. This book caught my eye, and so far I’m listening real hard to what I’m hearing. This could be where I invest in next.

I liked the author’s writing style as well as the narration.
It has a nicely developed story-line with good emotional content, although I expected it to be more steamy earlier on.
The characters are believable with their own weaknesses and strengths.
This was a good audiobook pick-up and I recommend it to others.

I’ve read a fair amount of science-fi but never quite seen an alien world described in such a way as in this book. Awesome in its detail and originality, it’s one to remember.
The amount of research and detail is more than admirable and should appeal to hard-core sci-fi and Asimov fans. Heinlein or Geddings fans who prefer more action and stand-out heroes might like it less. I have to admit that I liked it.
