interesting setting
Revisado: 04-08-25
I liked the premise and a lot of the storytelling but ultimately it felt like there could've been more to it. It's almost as if the story never really took off. Nevertheless it was an enjoyable experience.

Historia
Tabitha is not a murderer. When a body is discovered in Okeham, England, Tabitha is shocked to find herself being placed in handcuffs. It must be a mistake. She’d only recently moved back to her childhood hometown, not even getting a chance to reacquaint herself with the neighbors. How could she possibly be a murder suspect? As Tabitha is shepherded through the system, her entire life is picked apart and scrutinized - her history of depression and medications, her decision to move back to a town she supposedly hated, and her past relationship with the victim, her former teacher.

Pointless Word Dump
Revisado: 02-02-25
18 hours of narration to describe the events happening in the span of a few days. Nothing wrong with that but more than half of the descriptions and side plots are completely irrelevant to the story. Seemed written just to reach a word count. The narration was also less entertaining in some areas.

Beautiful
Revisado: 01-06-25
As a lifelong fan of Tupac's music and movies, this biography was excellent. It shows you a partly unseen side of Tupac and it's obvious that there was a lot of love put into this work. The narration was too slow for my liking but other than that, it was great.

Beautiful Story
Revisado: 12-31-24
The story is beautiful even if, in my opinion, it starts out quite slow and some characters are not really interesting. The story of the 2 women is surprisingly similar in some aspects but that wasn't necessarily an issue. Overall the narration is great and the story was good enough to keep me listening until the end.

High Production Value But Lacking Stories
Revisado: 12-23-24
Act III simply isn't as good as the first two productions. Too many short stories that were more difficult to follow and that aren't really connected to each other. Not a bad thing at all if you're into that kind of thing but it just wasn't my cup of tea. The production value is spectacular as always, with the narration being one of the best, as usual.

In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

Epic Audio Experience
Revisado: 12-23-24
Some stories are better than others but that's a subjective personal preference. The overall quality of the production is through the roof, with not only incredibly talented narrators but also sound effects and music composition. Overall a must-listen for anyone who's a fan of Neil Gaiman's comic books.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Stories About Trevor and Life in South Africa
Revisado: 11-07-24
This was a very enjoyable listening experience. Trevor Noah's narration of his childhood memories and experiences is down-to-earth and filled with delectable insights. His overall childhood has had a little bit of everything, from struggles to successes. The storytelling felt balanced, without too much emphasis on either the negative or the positive.

Some people are born boring. Some live boring. Some even die boring. Fred managed to do all three, and when he woke up as a vampire, he did so as a boring one. Timid, socially awkward, and plagued by self-esteem issues, Fred has never been the adventurous sort. One fateful night, Fred reconnects with an old friend at his high school reunion. This rekindled relationship sets off a chain of events thrusting him right into the chaos that is the parahuman world.

Humorous Adventures
Revisado: 08-30-24
The title definitely doesn't match the events - which was obvious but also appreciated. The cast does a great job at bringing all the characters to life. I do feel like it was mostly a handful of short stories bunched together in a novel but the storylines were enjoyable.

Some call him friend or boss. Some call him husband or dad. Some call him son, even a favorite son. But the only title that matters to him is the one the media has given him: the Poet. A name he earned from the written words he leaves behind after he kills that are as dark and mysterious as the reason he chooses his victims. One word, two, three, a story in a poem, a secret that only Detective Samantha Jazz can solve. Because, he’s writing this story for her.

This was an enjoyable listening experience. The story is interesting and difficult to predict who'd be the antagonist until close to the end. The narrators do a pretty good job overall.
