Story focused on the mail. Weakness characteristics way too much.
Revisado: 12-09-24
Too many weaknesses for the lead man. It took me about halfway through the book until I got really tired of the same theme over and over for the him. He needs to have overcompensating strengths otherwise I’m not interested in his character. Also, the male narrator’s voice wasn’t masculine enough to overcome this character’s weaknesses.

Loved kissing her
Revisado: 06-01-24
Not the best narrator choice. Hurt the flow of the story because the voice wasn’t great for this genre. His voice would be fantastic for something else though, just not romance.

Great story
Revisado: 04-20-24
This voice is wrong for this series. The female voices are too “silly”. It’s hard to take it seriously. He has a good voice just not for female romance.

Superb Narrator
Revisado: 01-02-24
This narrator is the best voice I’ve ever heard as a narrator. Not only is she pleasing to listen to but she had the right inflections and dramatics for the right moments. I wish she read everything!
Sadly, there are some books I’m sure that are also well written, but the voice is intolerable to listen to. This one is exactly spot on!
The steampunk genre is interesting in general but this story was well written and as already stated, expertly performed.

Story Is lacking
Revisado: 11-19-20
I don't mean any disrespect to the author but the story is definitely lacking. I give her all the kudos I can for starting and finishing a story let alone getting published. I offer my congratulations but it's not a very interesting or compelling story. I have listened to or read hundreds of books In the last 4 years. I am not a published novelist myself but after listening to that many or reading that many it becomes really easy to spot the ones that need more help.
Also, the narrator's voice is start out one way in the beginning and then as the character arcs the voice is changed. That happens so much. it's a little annoying. I understand character changing I don't understand voice is changing.

I knew this book would be good because Jenna Lamia is the narrator. She is one of the most versatile and talented readers I've ever heard. The storyline is touching and well written. definitely a book I will recommend to anyone.

The narrator is excellent. I love the way Julie Klassen writes. Subtly she reminds us through brief references to scripture who's really in charge in our lives.
