I was so excited to read this having taught for 18 years at SAS where Len ended his career. Unfortunately arrived just after he retired but I heard many stories and did work with many of those mentioned. The education part of the book reminded me a bit of Kindergarten Cop - education needs more Dr. Fellez! I thoroughly enjoyed the book except when the AI voice couldn’t handle the most basic things that any 9th grade kid could. I’d love to listen to this again with a human voice…better yet, Len himself. Thanks for a great story and all the insights.

Historia
An approved textbook at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry since its first publication, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an indispensable guide to the magical beasts of the wizarding world. It showcases a menagerie of magical creatures, explained enchantingly by noted magizoologist, Newt Scamander, who you may remember from the film series of the same name.

NOT a Story - just a list of creatures
Revisado: 02-13-24
I’m sure this is on me for not doing any research on the book before buying it, but this was simply a list of creatures from the Harry Potter series. It’s like having a dictionary of different characteristics about them read to you. I assumed incorrectly, that this would be a more rich version of the movie. It is absolutely the opposite of that. I love Harry Potter, but after listening to the same dull voice drone about details of these things I actually quit listening. DO NOT buy if you’re expecting a story - it is not. Again, on me for not doing more research but maybe this review will save you wasting an expensive credit for a VERY SHORT “book.”
