Historia
New York Times best-selling author and Pulitzer Prize finalist Arthur Herman pens this fascinating look at how two businessmen turned the U.S. into a military powerhouse during World War II. In 1940, FDR asked General Motors CEO William Knudsen to oversee the production of guns, tanks, and planes needed for the war. Meanwhile, industrialist Henry J. Kaiser presided over the building of “Liberty ships” - vessels that came to symbolize America’s great wartime output.

The current generation needs to understand the history of these men and what makes America great.

Capitalism is what makes America the greatest country in the history of the world. The political left hates America and strives to ruin it. America needs to wake up and understand this.

Historia
This is the dramatic story of the American bomber boys in World War II who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep. With the narrative power of fiction, this is a harrowing ride through the fire-filled skies over Berlin, Hanover, and Dresden. Fighting at twenty-five thousand feet in thin, freezing air no warriors had encountered before, bomber crews battled new kinds of assaults on body and mind. Air combat was deadly but intermittent: periods of inactivity and anxiety were followed by short bursts of fire and fear.

Love the series but this one was weak
Revisado: 04-20-21
Sally Rigby has created a terrific series here and I love the characters. I intend this listen to the whole series. Clare Corbett is nothing short of sensational as the performer/reader. She has become one of my favorites. Having said this, Lethal Secret was the weakest of the first 4 books. Rigby got a bit lazy with this one. The ending was abrupt and predictable. She can do better and I’m looking forward to book #5 of the series.

Nice try, but disappointing.
Revisado: 03-25-21
The story had potential, but the dialogue seemed contrived and a bit corny. The reader tried hard to do different voices between characters, however her range was limited. It might have been better read by a male reader. The Lange character was not believable in terms of his casual approach to taking on the Russian mafia. The ending was particularly disappointing, abrupt, implausible and vague as to what actually motivated the girl’s murder. The implication was that the step father’s illicit relationship with the girl led to the murder, but the writer didn’t fully close the loop on this. Clearly, Ronald Tierney is no Steve Cavanagh.
