Kyoshi’s place as the true Avatar has finally been cemented - but at a heavy cost. With her mentors gone, Kyoshi voyages across the Four Nations, struggling to keep the peace. But while her reputation grows, a mysterious threat emerges from the Spirit World. To stop it, Kyoshi, Rangi, and their reluctant allies must join forces before the Four Nations are destroyed irreparably. This thrilling follow-up continues Kyoshi’s journey from a girl of humble origins to the merciless pursuer of justice still feared and admired centuries after becoming the Avatar.

Enjoyed every bit. A legend that should of been told on the show. So good. Definitely worth a couple rereads.

I'll start with Narration. I don't know why this person was picked to narrate. They did their job I guess. They read the book alright. This book has so much music in it. I wish they would of got someone to attempt to sing, instead of the monotoned reading of the lyrics to the same beat everytime. It's bearable if you soldier on. I would of read it if I could of instead. But alas, I'm going blind. He attempts to read with different voices sometimes, but it comes out dry and unemotional. I know that's the main character. But it isn't all them. The covey was vibrant and loud. Therefore, this narrator failed in bringing the characters to life. I didn't feel it. But that's just me. Onto the book! I was super excited when I heard Suzanne Collins was going for another HGs book. I'm so happy with what she's made and the messages it sends. It's truly fantastic. It really captures the previous world, before the "theater" the hunger games became. It shows us morals that we need to see played out right now. Thank you Suzanne Collins, "and may the odds, ever be in your favor." I can't say much more without spoiling it. You won't be ready for this, but you will make it. Like them, you will survive. Thanks for reading.

Historia
It's been 18 months since the Raxter School for Girls was put under quarantine, since the Tox hit and pulled Hetty's life out from under her. It started slow. First the teachers died, one by one. Then it began to infect the students, turning their bodies strange and foreign. Now, left to fend for themselves on their island home, the girls don't dare wander outside the school's fence, where the Tox has made the woods wild and dangerous. They wait for the cure they were promised as the Tox seeps into everything. But when Byatt goes missing, Hetty will do anything to find her.

This book was amazing. The descriptions were very... Descriptive? I would literally read it and cringe or just be horrified with how accurate it was. Not for weak stomachs. Very well worded. There could of been more to the relationships, description wise. Like if it was accepted or not. Or even them just being kids and discovering how they feel. Im still confused by who the main character like liked and who was just a good friend. The story was amazing other than that.
The narrator dismantle amazing job on giving each voice it's own personality. You knew when someone else was talking and who it was. You heard the emotion each character was feeling with her voice. Spoiler alert from here on.....
The house scene was truly gut wrenching. The emotions were spot on. The heartbreak and everything about the scene, truly made the story. Thanks for the good read, Rory Power.

Historia
As anarchy and civil war took grip across the globe, Britain was quarantined. The press was nationalized, and martial law, curfews, and rationing were implemented. It wasn't enough. An evacuation was planned. The inland towns and cities of the United Kingdom were to be evacuated to defensive enclaves being built around the coast and the Scottish Highlands and in the Irish Republic. For George Tull and the other residents of the Waverly-Price Retirement Home, walking to the coast is not an option.

Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Revisado: 01-16-19
This book... this writer... He has hurt me more than any writer before. He has shown me war in a way that I've never seen and never want to see. He slammed reality in my face so hard I didn't even have a chance to flinch. Amazing... But deadly, to your feelings. I never thought I would ever grab the next book, when a series starts with such a tragedy... But I am. To quote Fallout "War. War never changes." But this, this shows you the cold and hard truth of that.

Historia
In 48 hours, the Earth will be hit by a coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun, a "Carrington Event" that has the power to shut down and possibly destroy the world's electrical infrastructure. To try and prevent permanent damage, everything goes dark prior to the hit: Global communications are shut down; hospital emergency generators are disconnected; the entire internet, media broadcasting, and cell phone systems are turned off. Will the world's population successfully defend itself in the wake of the CME, or will mass panic lead to the breakdown of society as we know it?

The writing of this book hooked me from the begining. I can't believe I didn't find this author sooner. This is the first of his books I've read and I'm for sure going to look for more of his writings. It took me places I never thought of in such situations and hammered in the soul splitting truth of it all. I truly enjoyed the narration. He diversed the characters wonderfully. I cannot wait to listen to more.

After the outbreak came the nuclear war. The blasts killed millions. Chaos followed. Most of those unlucky enough not to succumb to starvation and disease joined the ranks of the living dead. Fleeing the impossible nightmare, 10,000 from nations across the Atlantic seaboard found refuge on the Welsh island of Anglesey. There, they should have been safe. There, they should have been able to rebuild. There, they were betrayed.

Moving through the Ichidaian universe like a wraith, his brushes with the law and death are legendary. But when an act of rare heroism reveals his hidden birthright, he's forced into a world much more dangerous and cold-hearted than the bloody streets where he was raised-one of obscene wealth and lethal politics. Ferocious and determined, Desideria serves as an official bodyguard for her queen. Born of questionable genetics, she will do anything to prove herself worthy of the weapons she carries....
