Very creative non-fiction!

This is a very enjoyable way to explore history. It turns stoic, figures of history into identifiable human characters; bringing life to true events in such a creative way. Being myself an avid reader of the powers of the past, it sparked new or further interest in each of these stories. I was especially delighted to find and grateful for his suggested reading lists at the end. I couldn't get enough... and am happy to find more editions. However, I took one point off for a personal peeve -- being a native of New Jersey, the "Jurzee" bit -- is a bit too often.

Deceptive Title & Ratings

I love Audible and have never before been so displeased with any purchase, even if it turned out to be a book that was not quiet what I expected. I am RETURNING this title for the following reasons:
1. Staring with the title, cover, and description of this book I find it very deceptive. I was expecting this book to give insights into Dr. Sebi's background, herbal research journey/findings, and details on his selection of foods for HIS Alkaline Diet. Instead this is a book to DEBUNK and question Dr. Sebi's wisdom and his selections!!
2. The book is said to be Narrated by "Douglas Woodward" which led me to believe this was a person reading the book. NOT SO! This book is read by an artificial voice such as you would find in a 'read aloud' program. it was also horrible in pronouncing some of the words properly...terrible, just terrible to listen to.
3. Most times before I purchase a book, whether or not I'm familiar with it, I sample it (for the voice and energy of the reader) and read a few (if not all) of the reviews. The day I purchased this title my computer was loading slow so I skipped the sample and just read the reviews...all 5 stars great dialogue reviews...ALL LIES. I believe the reviews are as artificial and mechanical as the voice.
Usually Audible members are on point in their reviews and even the members that give bad reviews help prepare you for what to expect and usually there is always a bad review or 2 for every title--even those that turned out to be an absolute favorite of mine.
The fact that all the reviews gave 5 stars for the 'performance' of this book is enough to confirm my suspicion. Finally, please note, I DID NOT complete this book (as I usually would even when I don't quite like a book--if the info is feasible) due to the outrageous deception I felt.
Giving this a 1 star is more than it deserves!

I absolutely enjoyed every moment of every chapter. Not only did I learn great deals about various styles of writing and the extraordinary pioneers behind them; I was inspired to write more and write well!
Listening to McKeen was like relaxing over a cup of java , just he and I, reminiscing on what made the great writers great.
