Historia
What’s a witch to do when the coven of moral and ethical standards demands she untwist a curse—but an essential spell component no longer exists? There’s only one choice: go back in time. Caught between self-exile and an Alcatraz cell, Rachel must find an Atlantean mirror to reverse the curse and prove to Cincinnati’s brand-new witch coven that, no, she does not practice illicit magic. Unfortunately, the only mirror of its kind in existence belonged to the insane demon Newt, forcing Rachel to go to the past to bargain with her for it.

Historia
The Faceless Man, wanted for multiple counts of murder, fraud, and crimes against humanity, has been unmasked and is on the run. Peter Grant, Detective Constable and apprentice wizard, now plays a key role in an unprecedented joint operation to bring him to justice. But even as the unwieldy might of the Metropolitan Police bears down on its foe, Peter uncovers clues that the Faceless Man, far from being finished, is executing the final stages of a long-term plan. A plan that has its roots in London's 2,000 bloody years of history, and could literally bring the city to its knees.

Pleasantly surprised!
Revisado: 07-12-19
Honestly I was pleasantly surprised after finishing this audiobook. After reading some of the reviews I admit my expectations were set pretty low. But it was a good listen and I really thought it connected back well to the central Rivers of London overall world. It did make me miss the central characters and story and locations I have grown so used to- but by the end I really wanted to hear more and go further. I may be in the minority- but here I stand. Give it a try- you may be surprised as well.

Historia
Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

One of the best I've listened to
Revisado: 06-02-13
Would you listen to NOS4A2 again? Why?
Absolutely.. It's a long book, but it was so enjoyable and I love, love. love the reader- Mrs.Kate Mulgrew.
What did you like best about this story?
The story made me love, care, and hate the characters- just the right amount of information and backstory - the emotions came out of the reader's words - I found myself longing to hear more, hating to have to stop the story and looking forward to listen again.
What about Kate Mulgrew’s performance did you like?
The way her voice carried the emotion and painted a perfect picture of the cast of characters, the way she transitioned locations- perfect reader for this story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES!!!! It's quite a book to listen to- almost twenty hours- but it never left me cold or wanting the story to pick up.
Any additional comments?
It's been a while since an audio book has grabbed me and satisfied me the way this have. It has restored a lull in my love for audio books.

A reminder of the feel-good from the early books!
Revisado: 05-16-13
If you could sum up Dead Ever After in three words, what would they be?
A little sad to see this final book come and go. It feels like a return to the magic that was the first books that grabbed me and made me feel really good.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Ever After?
The massive return or mention of characters spread across the entire series.
What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She is the voice of Sookie to me- I love her and hope she can find another series to lay claim to. Absolutely one of the best narrators out there.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
I think HBO's True Blood has already laid claim to that concept- "Waiting Sucks"
Any additional comments?
Even if you've become unhappy with the series- give this one a chance and give Sookie the send off she deserves. You may not like the ending- but the book in it's entirety is a great read- and brings so much closure to the entire series. Thank you Charlaine for sharing Sookie's world and Bon Temps' secrets. It's been time well spent- and I may just have to re-listen again sometime, because I'm really going to miss you.

In-between

This is my least favorite of the series- but if you combine it and listen to the fourth book right after- the two combine and make magic. I'm also really pleased with the ending- and the setup for the fifth book.

Better than I ever could have expected
Revisado: 12-02-10
I'm not into this genre all that much- but I wanted something to listen to and with the hype about a movie deal in the works- my partner and I decided to give this a go.
It was absolutely enthralling. We listened to all three books within a week. And come to find out our son has read the first two books and was waiting on the third book to become available in his library.
We're both 39 and our son in 13. So there is a lot of appeal all across the age spectrum. I highly recommend this series- but be ready to devote some time to it- because you're not going to want to put it down!!! I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.
