Historia
Throughout history - from the bone-crushing age of antiquity to the sack-tearing modern era - there have been larger-than-life ass-kickers with a natural talent for unleashing their epic bloodlust on anyone who crossed them. They built empires, smashed armies, and ravaged civilizations for wealth, glory, and ultimate supremacy. Sometimes villains, sometimes heroes, sometimes criminally insane, they had one thing in common: They were all Badass!

A mildly humorous take on history
Revisado: 07-23-24
Definitely not for serious history lovers, but I'm sure this humorous approach could get some not normally interested in history to enjoy it.

Rehash of The Case for Christ
Revisado: 12-18-19
I'm pretty sure that everything but the "Christmas Sidebars" were copied directly from The Case for Christ. If you've read/listened to that then this is just a refresher with roughly 5 minutes of new content.

No ending, just leaves everything hanging!
Revisado: 07-28-19
I understand the ending that wraps up some things but leaves you wanting more like the last book in the series, but this just ends abruptly! I don't mind this kind of ending if I can get the next part soon, but who knows when the next book will come out. Great story, horrible ending!

Historia
In the chaos following World War II, the US government faced many difficult decisions, including what to do with the Third Reich's scientific minds. These were the brains behind the Nazis' once-indomitable war machine. So began Operation Paperclip, a decades-long, covert project to bring Hitler's scientists and their families to the United States. Many of these men were accused of war crimes, and others had stood trial at Nuremberg; one was convicted of mass murder and slavery.

Great information but dull
Revisado: 06-28-18
The information was interesting but the presentation was dull. The line between right and wrong gets so muddied that it really made me think about it.

Historia
By 1920, the movies had suddenly become America's new favorite pastime and one of the nation's largest industries. Never before had a medium possessed such power to influence; yet Hollywood's glittering ascendancy was threatened by a string of headline-grabbing tragedies - including the murder of William Desmond Taylor, the popular president of the Motion Picture Directors Association, a legendary crime that has remained unsolved until now.

Good, interesting story, but not always gripping
Revisado: 07-31-12
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Probably not. It has some very interesting and educational parts, but also some dull spots.
What three words best describe John Allen Nelson’s voice?
Dull at times
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, because the strengths of this book are in the details that would be lost in a movie.

Revisado: 07-31-12
What made the experience of listening to SEAL Team Six the most enjoyable?
The story is incredible and unexpected. I will recommend this to my Mother, even though she is not really someone who would normally be interested in a book about Navy Seals.
