Historia
Autumn 1942. Hitler's legions have swept across Europe; France has fallen; Churchill and the English stand isolated on their island. In North Africa, Rommel and his Panzers have routed the British Eighth Army and stand poised to overrun Egypt, Suez, and the oil fields of the Middle East.

Excellent Narration!
Revisado: 10-22-24
Between Pressfield's picturesque writing and the narrator's perfect tempo and diction, this was a really great listen.

Historia
Is there credible proof that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God? In The Case for Christ, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and New York Times bestselling author, retraces his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith and builds a captivating case for Christ's divinity. In this revised and updated edition of The Case for Christ, Strobel cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools such as Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis, asking hard-hitting questions—and taking a deeper look at the evidence from the fields of science, philosophy, and history.

Faith Affirming
Revisado: 11-28-22
If you're a non-Christian that values intellectual rigor in major philosophical or scientific works, try this book. Hopefully, you will be able to appreciate Lee Strobel's investigative process for coming to Faith and be honestly introspective about your own thoughts and connection (or rejection) of Jesus.
This book is excellent for non-Christians considering or challenged by the historical validity of Jesus and the Bible. The book is also great for Christians who want to strengthen their apologetics foundation, or Christians who may be struggling in period of doubt and need some practical and academic affirmation of the person, detiy, and work of Christ to reinvigorate their spiritual walk.
Lastly, I like Mr. Strobel's reading of this book, because, as the author, he knows exactly how and where to put the right emotional tone and nuance. This makes the audio more personable and enjoyable.

Historia
If only Flashman had got on with his dinner and ignored the handkerchief dropped by a flirtatious hussy in a Calcutta hotel... well, American history might have been different, a disastrous civil war might have been avoided, and Flash Harry himself would have been spared one of the most hair-raising adventures of his misspent life. If only... but alas, the arch-rotter of the Victorian age could never resist the lure of a pretty foot.

Not the best Flashman, but still Flashman!
Revisado: 05-07-20
As always, David Case gives a superior performance, but this Flashman lags more than others.
