Loved almost everything about this book.
I just don’t understand why Joey puts up with the hypocritical ways of his girlfriend.
Throughout the book, I wanted to smack some sense into him!

Attlee is really an unlikable character.
Revisado: 11-22-20
The female narrator was a bit annoying but I don’t think she really could make Attlee likable.
Maybe it’s just me, but I want to root for the protagonist......with her, I can’t. She is shrill and tone deaf to other around her.I’m also tired of the same worn out “I desperately need to find Mercy” talk when she had 30 years to think about it.
What I would really like to see is another John Puller book....because maybe David Baldacci is better with male protagonists.....of course, Amos Decker is also on the edge of unlikabilty too.
Back to Attlee Pine.
The ending was stupid and ridiculous.
Sorry for the spoiler.

I liked this book.
I got a bit frustrated with the narrator switching over to the other characters and not realizing she did until I missed half of what was said.

I'm so disturbed.
Revisado: 02-11-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I don't know.
What could Blake Crouch have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Have good overcome evil.
What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings it to life. He puts me there as an observer.
Could you see Break You being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No.
Any additional comments?
I may be one of those sappy people who likes good to overcome evil. This book left me depressed, sorrowful, and disturbed. It was just time badly invested in a trilogy that regressed.

I really loved this book
Revisado: 06-26-14
What made the experience of listening to The Operative the most enjoyable?
The narrator is one of my favorites. Of course I also liked the content of the book.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes. Although I knew at the beginning who the bad guy was, there were many twists and turns that were interesting and surprising.
I liked how we were able to get into the mind of the bad guys to see what their motives were.
Which character – as performed by Christopher Lane – was your favorite?
I liked Jonathan Harper...I pretty much like every character Christopher Lane performs. He brings all the characters to life and makes them very believable.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A bit.....right at the end I got a bit of a lump in my throat.
Any additional comments?
I get a bit annoyed when people pick apart something that should just be enjoyed.
Too many people are hyper critical about the ghostwriter. I think the ghostwriter has done a terrific job with these books.
Admittedly, I hesitated to listen to the rest of the series after reading the critical reviews of the books written by the ghostwriter. I'm very glad I decided to listen to them. I really like how all the characters in the book have developed and have gotten attached to them.

Historia
On September 11, 2001, on a desolate beach on the outskirts of Copenhagen, police begin investigating the strange death of an unidentified woman. Surrounding the body are what appear to be offerings to the deceased: A book, a small noose, a dead golden canary, a linden tree branch, and a photo of the Kongslund Orphanage. As the police puzzle over their bizarre findings, the Twin Towers fall in walls of flame and the case is quickly overshadowed by the terror half a world away.

Thank goodness for a good narrator
Revisado: 04-21-14
Would you try another book from Erik Valeur and K. E. Semmel (translator) and/or Mikael Naramore?
Maybe Erik......I would like to give him another chance.
I definitely liked the narrator. He kept me listening when I was ready to give up. I would listen to him again if the book was in my genre.
Would you recommend The Seventh Child to your friends? Why or why not?
No.....unless people like long, long overly detailed books.
What does Mikael Naramore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I always like a narrator who can read the opposite sex and not be able to notice that it is the opposite sex trying too hard to sound like the opposite sex!.....I hope that isn't too redundant!
He was able to really bring to life all the different characters in the book. Even if the character wasn't announced, I knew it was that particular person.
He had a perfect tone of voice for the book. I always dislike narrators that make a mystery or thriller sound like a dumb joke....Mikael did not do that and I would listen to his narration again in a minute if he were to narrate another mystery/thriller.
His narration kept me hoping this book would actually get more interesting.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Seventh Child?
So much of the background of each character. There was so much repetition to each characters background that I got exhausted listening to it.
Any additional comments?
This book could have been so much better if it was half the length.
Even though there was a "twist" in the last part of the book.....it came as no surprise at all. I knew the ending less than a quarter of the way in the book.
I know that some books mean for you to know....but I don't believe it was the authors intention for us to know.....unfortunately the cat was out of the bag because of too much information.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Daniel Falcone unwittingly steps onto course for a head-on collision with a frighteningly brilliant psychotic serial killer, whose harrowing childhood abuse and neglect left him devoid of humanity and salivating for revenge. Framed for a brutal murder on a commercial cruise ship, and fighting for the right to raise his sons and clear his name, Falcone races against the clock and struggles to keep his eyes on the prize, even while his profound guilt and self-loathing threaten to destroy him faster than his maniacal adversary.

Good book
Revisado: 04-13-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It was pretty good and I liked the way the author gave some background to the characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
There really wasn't a character that I liked the best.
I can say that Annie was my least favorite character. No one deserves to go through what she did in the end, but she brought so much of it on herself. Through it all she never grew on me like some characters do. I just can't get attached to a character that can switch "values" so quickly.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tracy Thibodeaux?
I would have cast Scott Brick.
Any additional comments?
I want to say that narrators make such a difference between an okay book and a great book......or a great book and a bad book. If the narrator didn't sound like he was a 1st grader reading out of a book during the narrations....I would have really liked him.
He did well with the voices, but definitely not the narration. At times it was like fingers on a chalkboard.
I would like to see this author succeed because he does write a good story.

Another winner!
Revisado: 02-13-14
Who was your favorite character and why?
John Wells of course!
He is great at getting out of tough situations and when he has to be ruthless, he is. But not without thought. He doesn't like to kill but knows its necessary when he does. He is all about problem solving and doing the right thing. He does a lot of internal thinking and at times doesn't like what he sees in himself but is pragmatic enough to move on.
I really like the fact that he has a conscience and has a faith. At times he struggles with it, but knows in the end that's all he really has left.
What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Personality.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I really have a deep fondness for this series. I skipped a couple books and regret it. I can only be excited to listen to the next book!
