Moving is a major life change - time-consuming, expensive, often overwhelming, and sometimes scary. But it doesn’t have to be! Instead of looking it as a burdensome chore, consider it a new adventure. Ali Wenzke and her husband moved 10 times in 11 years, living in seven states across the US. She created her popular blog, The Art of Happy Moving, to help others build a happier life before, during, and after a move. The Art of Happy Moving builds on her blog, offering step-by-step guidance, much-needed comfort, practical information, and welcome advice.

Revisado: 06-11-19
These were weird meandering tales. I almost fell asleep while driving due to the narrators. there are probably people who can both follow the stories and deal with the narrator's tone, but I am not one of them. Maybe if I were just doing laundry.

Historia
Clayton Deese looks like a small-time criminal, muscle for hire when his loan shark boss needs to teach someone a lesson. Now, seven months after a job that went south and landed him in jail, Deese has skipped out on bail, and the US Marshals come looking for him. They don't much care about a low-level guy - it's his boss they want - but Deese might be their best chance to bring down the whole operation. Then, they step onto a dirt trail behind Deese's rural Louisiana cabin and find a jungle full of graves.

The format for LD is pretty much the same regardless of who he is working for. That being said this is another classic novel with a character we’ve come to love. Hopefully Virgil gets another story soon.

Historia
Set during and after the First World War, A Very Long Engagement is the tale of a young woman's search for her fiancé who she believes might still be alive despite having officially been reported as "killed in the line of duty." Unable to walk since childhood, fearless Mathilde Donnay is undeterred in her quest as she scours the country for information about five wounded French soldiers who were brutally abandoned by their own troops. A Very Long Engagement is a mystery, a love story, and an extraordinary portrait of life in France before and after the War.

Wonderful book!
Revisado: 02-27-18
This is one of the audible books I can listen to repeatedly. If I could give it infinity stars, I would. Unlike most narrators, Keating's voice is good and believable as a male or a female character. This amazing story is revealed through the perspective of many characters and their point of view of the same events, a Japrisot device I have noticed in his other novels. It makes me want to read everything by this author, learn more about WWI, and makes me want to learn to read French so i can read this book in the original language it was written. Inspiring! I think this was Sebastien Japrisot’s masterpiece.

Finally a collaboration worthy of awards.
Revisado: 11-21-17
Lincoln Lawyer and Bosch have from time to time crossed paths in each other's stories. This book was the perfect amount of both. One of my favorites to date. I'm an early Bosch fan but since Titus does series justice that coupled with Mickey's presence was epic. I just didn't care for how they parted on unsettling terms but such is life with family.

Despite the era and somewhat foreign tongues it was wonderful. Sherlock Holmes has impacted civilization more than ACD would ever know. I found the humor relevant and tasteful. This collection goes to show that crude sex and violence aren't required for a great story.

Bigoted assumptions of a flaming Liberal.
Revisado: 01-14-17
By the end of this book you are instructed to believe all History text to be distrusted. Since it was written by and for white, male, protestants, it is therefore lies. Only the first half the book is interesting because it calls out obvious lies in American and ask why they are still teaching these fables as history; i.e. "Columbus discovered America".
The second half is liberal crap. Assuming that Black and Women's history is left out entirely as an act of oppression of these groups. Assuming teachers and students are too lazy and scared to honestly discuss complex issues.
The writer speaks of the 90's as the present so maybe that is some of the books problem. I think minds are much more open to the "truth" in 2016.
All in all the book is too long.

Historia
The first storm comes from, of all places, the Minnesota zoo. Two large and very rare Amur tigers have vanished from their cage, and authorities are worried sick that they've been stolen for their body parts. Traditional Chinese medicine prizes those parts for home remedies, and people will do extreme things to get what they need. Some of them are a great deal more extreme than others - as Virgil is about to find out.
