Mistitled bible preaching disguised as a lifestyle book

If you’re a devout Christian with a shopping addiction you might like this book. There are some common sense pieces of advice but probably two bible quotes and pieces of advice about prayer for every one of them.
If the book was titled “the Christian woman’s guide to quitting shopping” I would be more accurate and I would have known I wasn’t the target audience.

If I’d had to read it myself I wouldn’t have bothered

A halting and largely dull story set in an exciting historical period. The formulaic and slow story is made worse by the painfully over enunciated narration. The lead character is voiced in a plodding, whiny tone that made it very hard to luke her. However, not even a better narrator could have salvaged some of the sickly sweet dialogue.
This is emo fiction for lovers of medieval times, although true lovers of the period will be sorely disappointed by how peripheral this plot is to historical events of importance.
In short: TLDR ... or listen, as the case may be. Sorry, but there it is.
