Joe King Oliver was one of the NYPD's finest investigators until he was framed for sexual assault by unknown enemies within the force. A decade has passed since his release from Rikers, and he now runs a private detective agency with the help of his teenage daughter. When he receives a letter from his accuser confessing that she was paid to frame him years ago, King decides to find out who wanted him gone and why.

Pretty okay
Revisado: 05-02-16
Would you try another book from Kimberla Lawson Roby and/or Madison Vaughn?
Yes, I would read another, but I don't like the descriptive sex scenes.
What other book might you compare Too Much of a Good Thing to and why?
I really like Vanessa Davis Griggs's stories and books. She never goes over towards erotica and the stories are similar.
What didn’t you like about Madison Vaughn’s performance?
Didn't care so much for the narration. All the characters sounded the same or too over-exaggerated. I've heard so many better like in some of Walter Mosely's books.
Was Too Much of a Good Thing worth the listening time?
It was a good story, so yes.
Any additional comments?
The sex descriptions could have been left out. It makes the book too erotica. If the next one is that implicit, I will not listen to anymore.

Incredibly long winded!
Revisado: 09-11-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Someone who likes dissertations and fairy tale-like situations.
What could Mary B. Monroe have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Getting to a point or conclusion took and excruciating long time. It made the plots too long and drawn out for a disappointing end.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I could not always distinguish between the characters unless they were introduced
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I love the author's other books and I believe it could have been edited to remove the wordiness
Any additional comments?
This read had been exasperating because I want to get to the end but the characters do unrealistic things and the author just will not get to the point!
