Historia
Mark is a student of robotics with a budding career track. Still in high school, he has a fellowship with the local university working with the renowned Professor David. But just before the end of the school year, Mark becomes a quadriplegic, closing the doors to his future. But Professor David is contacted by his best friend, Tyler Davis, who was recently promoted to the project lead for a new company called Synaptergy. This company is working on a new brain-to-robotic interface that promises to restore the lives of those who have lost the use of their limbs.

Great story read aloud very well actual Author
Revisado: 10-30-23
I've been very fond of Thomas Murosky's uploaded videos for some time and decided to break out and listen to his books too when I noticed they were on Audible. I was very impressed overall. It is a rare thing for a good fiction author to also be good at rendering the various characters' voices well but he does it. Given his quirky nature, the listener is going to occasionally giggle with some of his "impressions" but that's just pure fun and nicely offsets the very serious nature of the story. The plot rotates around a paralyzed young man who gets a private-corporation-manufactured chip installed in his brain to help him regain physical abilities for himself. It's a great listen and very relevant to today's issues. If it had been written decades ago I would have classified it as "Science Fiction" but the story has a good chance of being more reality now than fiction. It's a must read/listen.

Will the love of God save us all? In this audiobook Thomas Talbott seeks to expose the extent to which the Western theological tradition has managed to twist the New Testament message of love, forgiveness, and hope into a message of fear and guilt.

Wishful thinking - fails to sell universalism
Revisado: 06-13-22
Overall the book is put together pretty well with lots of good cultural and theological references. This may well be the best book out there supporting the case for universalism. The problem is that even the strongest case for it fails to conclusively sell the idea. The author claims that God is capable enough to be 100% victorious on all matters which is well and good but when combined with the idea that he cares about all souls, even the demonic or flat-out evil, he loses me. He needs proof for such an assumption. As the book went on I was hoping to hear proposed details on just how un-redeemed souls who have lived their lives and are now dead could be saved. Nope...nothing clear apart from proposing that they might be reincarnated for another go-at-it, so to speak, to be saved. Again, needs proof. If the universe is an incubator of souls and God is trying to maximize the harvest, it seems each new life should start with fresh new initially unbelieving souls, not disbelieving ones as the author suggests. When making multiple batches of popcorn, a wise cook does NOT put failed-to-pop kernels from previous batches in with new kernels while trying to maximize production. Then there's the destructive side of universalism in general like encouraging the thought of "Why put my self at risk trying to help save the soul of someone else when they are surely going to be saved anyway?" ... very destructive indeed

What did the Founding Fathers think about religion? And why did a group of practicing Protestants create a republic with widespread religious liberty? The 12 lectures included in this fascinating course provide multi-layered insights into the vision, philosophies, politics, and deep-seated faith of these brilliant leaders - in their own time, in their own words.

About As Accurate As Any Woke History Prof Can Get
Revisado: 09-23-21
I honestly can't say I enjoyed listening to this book. Being a loyal christian with an interest in history forces me to endure such audio books. The author presents a lot of relevant facts, but the whole work is basically a case presenting that the founding fathers did NOT intend for America, or at least its government to be a christian nation. Because of this purpose in the presentation, the experience for the listener is similar to having to listen to a snarky pro-Vikings sports announcer while his team was playing against the Green Bay Packers if that was your favorite team. You end up being given a curated portion of the details of what happened which makes it worth while if you simply MUST know the fundamental content, but you are still glad when it's over. All that said, I think the author made a fair effort to be more balanced than his obvious disposition showed and that is to his credit. I would recommend this book for any christian with a SOLID understanding of their faith and ethics but not for less experienced minds who can't filter out the chaff from the wheat.

if you can't say what you have to say in just a few words you may as well not say it...so there is no review here. Based on what i learned from the book, Jobs would get what I am saying. worth your money and your time. 😀

Keep both your scientific and theistic perspective
Revisado: 04-23-21
ln a word filled with the insanity of those who embrace science and reject God and those who insanely do the reverse, this book provides a good understanding of how to sanely embrace both and benefit both personally and intellectually from it. The book is rich with diverse citations both supporting the author's claims and opposing them.
