Actionable tips and short digestible chapters
Revisado: 01-18-25
Might be the best book on habit forming that I’ve read. Not cluttered with too much opinion or jokes but packed with actionable steps to take in order to develop better habits. All the extras are available on his site but you don’t need in order to enjoy the content inside the book.

Historia
Every investment plan under the sun is, at best, an informed speculation of what may happen in the future, based on a systematic extrapolation from the known past. Same as Ever reverses the process, inviting us to identify the many things that never, ever change. With his usual elan, Morgan Housel presents a master class on optimizing risk, seizing opportunity, and living your best life. Through a sequence of engaging stories and pithy examples, he shows how we can use our newfound grasp of the unchanging to see around corners.

Same as ever but this book thinks differently
Revisado: 01-13-25
If you enjoy deep thinking on seemingly simple topics, you’ll enjoy this book. In summary, history repeats itself. You instinctively know it but never slow down to think about it. Love the short chapters. I can knock out a few on a 15 minute commute and leave me something to think about daily.

As someone who has never even considered entrepreneurship as an option, this book is a welcomed tutorial of exactly what to do to enter the market with a unique idea. I wasn’t sure if this would be anything different from the YouTube content, but as he states throughout the book, for the price, it’s definitely worth the value that you’re getting and offers more in-depth insight than what you’ll get via his other social channels. Definitely worth the purchase and the time.

In this groundbreaking book, therapist Resmaa Menakem examines the damage caused by racism in America from the perspective of trauma and body-centered psychology. My Grandmother's Hands is a call to action for all of us to recognize that racism is not only about the head but about the body, and introduces an alternative view of what we can do to grow beyond our entrenched racialized divide.

Recommended reading for anyone working in the healing space.
Revisado: 11-25-23
Correction, just for anyone/everyone to read. This book really touches on the lack of humanity and applicable ways to start the conversation for white, black & policed bodied humans. The way he breaks down how we as a society got here and the action steps that it’ll take to move us forward make too much sense to ignore.
If you’re in a leadership position, I implore you to make this reading mandatory for your staff and yourself. How you interact with the public, your family, and anyone else will be positively impacted immediately.

The author does a great job of introducing tantra to a new audience but also provides perspective for those who may be somewhat involved in tantra currently also. This is a perfect reference book to have in a tantrikas library.

Solid book
Revisado: 01-23-22
This was a good book. Easy to listen to, factual and useful information for anyone using digital technology. The one tip towards the end about pushing us to use technology like it uses us was a light switch for me. Promoting apps that are social conscious was a powerful sentiment also. There are so many ways to be plugged in digitally so if we are going to be, utilize those apps that are attempting to do the right thing instead of taking advantage of people

In Do Nothing, award-winning journalist Celeste Headlee illuminates a new path ahead, seeking to institute a global shift in our thinking so we can stop sabotaging our well-being, put work aside, and start living instead of doing. As it turns out, we’re searching for external solutions to an internal problem. We won’t find what we’re searching for in punishing diets, productivity apps, or the latest self-improvement schemes. Yet all is not lost - we just need to learn how to take time for ourselves, without agenda or profit, and redefine what is truly worthwhile.

Well thought out and expertly articulated for the average reader
Revisado: 01-02-22
Celeste has done it again with this book. There are some overly data driven points towards the first few chapters but other than that, she goes into her usual excellent explanations of everything what to do and not do and what we’ve done in our past as humanity. I loved this book and recommend it to anyone who is feeling like they do a lot in work and/or life.

Thoughtful, in depth, relatable
Revisado: 11-18-21
Wow! I didn’t know what to expect from an actors memoirs. Would it be real or fabricated? I guess to some extent there probably are some exaggerations in the stories that make for a better book but they felt real and honest. The mixture of music and dialogue made the content great. His voiceovers of characters was cool. Would’ve been great to hear the actual voices portrayed. I was expecting a self help book as he’s been very much in that self help lane later in his life. But instead, he shared one of the most vulnerable sides that one could share. Shouts out to his friends and family also to allow him the freedom to be this honest.
