So Very Worth It!

This is a fantastic series! there were even a couple parts that I for sure we're going to be the classic predictable plot lines but they were a wonderful surprise. the only reason the performance has four stars is because the main character makes up song lyrics to '80s Tunes and the actor chance them instead of sings them. I would have loved to hear them lightly sung off tune.

The absolute best use of a credit!

Overall, Enjoyed It

This story is incredibly confusing in the beginning. I have to wonder if the written novel has more visual cues to help with changes in the storyline. Things do become better towards the middle of the book and you get a real concept of what's going on and the different characters. There are still points of confusion, but the emotional points of the story and the compelling arc make up for that. It is definitely worth a listen and I will be trying the next one. especially now that I know the world.

the author has a talent of letting the story and world unfold. I am in love with this family. The actor was also excellent. His accents are sit on and consistent. absolutely worth the price.

Refutation

I don't often write reviews. Most often, I wish I could directly refute some reviews. Sometimes, I wonder if people even listen to the same book that I listen to. Before I read this book, there are a couple reviews that either stated or insinuated that there was non-consensual sex or some type of dominant coercion. This is absolutely NOT the case. When sexual relations do begin to occur, consent is given both physically and verbally. Doubts occur in the inner monologue but are also countered in the inner monologue of the female. But the hero even pauses at several times to make sure that she is on board with him and to get consent. This is my second favorite book of this series and I can't wait for the final one to come out.

Not a Romance

These terramates books seem to vacillate between really quite good to absolutely cringe-worthy. Before this one, the bottom ones were just eh. This is the one that is cringeworthy and I don't see how it can be considered romance except for the fact that they get together in the end. Maybe if the book had been stretched out another 200 pages, the author could have justified how the two characters could actually fall in love with each othe;r but, in the space of a couple hours the male goes from willing to perform unspeakable torture to her to wanting to spend the rest of his life with her, and realizing she's precious. There isn't even any inner monologue even that justifies this change except for the fact that he doesn't want his cousin to have her. I was pretty much able to finish the book which the has me setting it at two stars... barely, because the performance is good.

Narrator Puts Me to Sleep

The narrator is clear, has a pleasant voice, and pronounces her words well; but, she should NOT be reading erotica. I find myself falling asleep during the story and all the others in this series. This one was particularly difficult because I had to keep rewinding to try and figure out who was saying what. I really wish this series was on Kindle unlimited.

Erotic

The story itself is fairly erotic. I like the use of crass dirty talk. It's a wonderful little distraction, especially for the genre it's in. It's got a small plot and is erotic throughout. The narrator has a clear voice and pronounces her words quite well; she is competent. Unfortunately, there is really no passion in her voice and no differentiation between characters. She could be reading an academic textbook. So unfortunately, what could be a story I could satusfy myself to, ends up just a pleasant erotica to listen to.

There are Not Enough Stars Available

first off, kudos to David Brenin! I have listened to hundreds of books on audible and he is by far one of my top three favorite narrators of all! This book really shows that off. His handling of the children's voices bring about all their joy and adorableness of childhood without ever sounding hokey or forced.

The story itself hits me right in the "feels." It's just beautifully written. This is an absolute must listen to!

seriously, keep e pronunciations consistent.

I understand that when you switch authors, pronunciations of very difficult words and names can switch slightly. however Morgan has been narrating several of these books now and she pronounces things differently than she did in the past. Further, what's even more frustrating, is that she will pronounce things inconsistently within the same book! It gets to the point where your jaw clenches and you grind your teeth every time a few specific words are said. I find it disrespectful to the author and just downright lazy especially considering that overall Morgan is a good narrator. Yes just downright lazy narration.
