Historia
On September 11, 2001, Doug Laux was a freshman in college, on the path to becoming a doctor. But with the fall of the Twin Towers came a turning point in his life. After graduating, he joined the Central Intelligence Agency, determined to get himself to Afghanistan and into the center of the action. Through persistence and hard work, he was fast-tracked to a clandestine operations position overseas. Dropped into a remote region of Afghanistan, he received his baptism by fire.

Excellent Awesomeness

I got so hooked on this I literally finished it in less than 24 hours. I'm sad it ended because I could have listened to this forever. Super addictive story and masterfully read by Dawson. I think I'll listen to this a second time.

In a thrilling dramatic narrative, awarded the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction, Joby Warrick traces how the strain of militant Islam behind ISIS first arose in a remote Jordanian prison and spread with the unwitting aid of two American presidents.

Excellent Excellent Book
Revisado: 07-30-16
This was surprisingly easy to follow given the complexity of the subject. Author does a great job. You will get angry a lot reading this book when you learn about the grotesque actions (and inactions) of the US leading up to Iraq War and the Bush Administration's refusal to accept an insurgency rising. The man who reads this does a fantastic job in my opinion. I highly highly recommend this book.

Historia
This is an indispensable guide to physics that offers readers an overview of the most popular physics topics written in an accessible, irreverent, and engaging manner while still maintaining a tone of wry skepticism. Even the novice will be able to follow along, as the topics are addressed using plain English and (almost) no equations. Veterans of popular physics will also find their nagging questions addressed, like whether the universe can expand faster than light.

Good Beginner/Intermediate Physics Book
Revisado: 07-06-16
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It does get a bit hard to follow at times - but this isn't the fault of the author. Quantum physics is hard to comprehend. Period. I have taken undergrad DiffEq, linear algebra, and some physics & chemistry courses so I can't say how this book would be for someone with absolutely zero background in math and physics. Bottom line is I really enjoyed it and learned a lot.
