Historia
Within seconds, normally rational, self-controlled people become frenzied killers. Christened "Haters" by the media, the attackers strike without warning, killing all who cross their path. People are afraid to go to work, afraid to leave their homes, afraid that at any moment their friends or family could turn on them. In the face of this mindless terror, Danny McCoyne must secure his family, seek shelter, and watch as the world falls apart. "Attack first, ask questions later" becomes the order of the day.

Hmmm
Revisado: 12-05-24
A few times, I was unsure if this book was ACTUALLY about all the reasons why you shouldn’t have kids. At least the first half the book is about the woes of parenting. Then all of a sudden the plot twists and now I have to keep going with the next part.

Historia
For 155 days, Will Foster has been locked in medical quarantine without his consent. The doctors claim he is infected with a deadly virus, but this is a lie. Encoded in his DNA is a mutation that provides immunity from disease for all who possess it, source code that Vyrogen Pharmaceuticals aims to commercialize as a multi-billion dollar gene therapy. Against all odds, Foster escapes his laboratory prison and steals a virulent strain of bubonic plague as insurance. To help him unravel the mystery inside him, Foster contacts the only person he can trust - a former lover and microbiologist living Vienna - and the two become fugitives.

Joseph S. Steed’s Review
Revisado: 12-04-24
His review was right on the money and made me laugh. I like these authors and the ‘Sons of Valor’ series, so I thought I’d give this one a try. It’s going on my DNF list because like many reviews mentioned, the narration ruined it.

Historia
Two years after an attack brought down the electrical grid across the United States, the recovery effort is well underway. A new network of armored trains carry supplies and industrial equipment crucial to rebuilding the country. But along the rails, one area of America is still mired in darkness, violence, and danger. Some call it the Badlands. Others the Wild West. The government simply refers to it as the New Frontier.

Great Story and Writing
Revisado: 10-22-24
My first book from Nicholas Sansbury Smith was ‘Hell Divers’ and I loved that book. This one with Anthony Melchiorri was amazing too and I’m about to listen to the second book. This one was paced and written well. I enjoyed all the moving parts and characters. Bravo Bronson Pinchot! Phenomenal voice actor and narrated the HELL outta this book. There were a lot of characters and he portrayed them all beautifully. Well worth a listen for all interested.

It was Ok
Revisado: 10-19-24
The story was Ok. No real big twists to look forward to. And the main character makes frustrating decisions. The voice actor was ok. I don’t think his voice fit the character as far age the character’s age and personality. I’ll continue to listen to the series because the story line and voice actor is tolerable so far.
On second thought, with 2 hours left of the book, I’m leaving this one unfinished and taking away some stars. It’s not that interesting all the way around.

Enjoying the series
Revisado: 10-16-24
It’s a decent story and paced well to keep me entertained and interested. The characters are developed well, with both likable and unlikeable characters. My favorite is Zon. It could be easy not to like him, but he’s solid. I love his nicknames for everybody: Capt D*ck*had, Butt ugly twins, and TV *itch.. makes me laugh.
The male voice does a good job, but the female almost makes me want to stop listening sometimes. Especially when she does male characters. And she doesn’t do a good job conveying different emotions for what’s happening in the story.
Overall, I recommend the series.
