Unique Fantasy Adventure
Revisado: 05-02-25
This was defiantly an interesting story full of fun and unique characters with intriguing backgrounds, along with a few surprise twists that I enjoyed. It was a bit difficult to stay engaged because of all the switching back and forth between characters, hence why a locked a star off. There was a scene where the characters were all naked that made me a bit uncomfortable, and a smidge of crude humor that I didn’t care for. Otherwise, it was a fun read that Im sure many will enjoy.

Historia
Adair Finch is the most powerful warlock in the world, and one of the best private investigators for hire. He has dealt with corporate vampires, murderous werewolves, and even fae royalty. Everything was perfect until he lost one case—the case where he also lost his brother. So Finch retired. From magic. From PI work. From everything. Bree Blackstone, a twelve-year-old witch, doesn’t know or care about any of that except Finch’s reputation. In the middle of the night, she bangs on Finch’s door. Her mother has been murdered, and now the assassin is after Bree as well.

A Compelling Story
Revisado: 08-26-24
I really enjoyed this story, from the main characters, to the mechanics of magic, and the pacing of the story. I loved the dynamic between the two main characters most of all. Finch is a very relatable character for me personally, while Bree serves as his moral compass throughout the story, giving the character a lot more depth. I’m looking forward to seeing where this series goes.

Historia
Chesterfield is just like any small town you’ve ever visited. The only exception is the Eldritch being controlling the town, but hey, the rents are cheap. Allow me to tell you thirteen tales of misery and despair unlike any you have ever heard. While I have you here let me just add one more to the population sign. Even if you want to leave you can’t. You belong to Chesterfield now.

Original, Creepy, and Intense
Revisado: 08-01-24
Tales of Chesterfield really had an interesting premise involving several horror shorts that take place in a cursed town called Chesterfield. The tragic tales left an impression and I won’t soon forget them.
Without giving away any spoilers the one story that has been stuck in my mind every since I read it is the one where a little girl goes to her grandma’s house, and let’s just say it gets really creepy from there.
Tales of Chesterfield was an interesting collection and I look forward to reading some of the author’s other works.
