Historia
Against the backdrop of worldwide, unexplainable natural disasters, Dr. Virginia Marilyn Edwards (Emmy Award-winner Kerry Washington) seeks out Agent Scott Thomas (Emmy Award-winner Laurence Fishburne) at a secretive government headquarters. Virginia claims these events are signs, and unless Agent Thomas helps her, she believes things will only get worse. Her desperation is dialed up higher with a shocking proclamation as she stands before him pregnant, weak, and weary: “Agent Thomas,” she says, “I believe I am Mary.”

very interesting and modern take
Revisado: 01-17-23
acting was superb but I wouldn't expect less from these actors. the story is short so it's a quick one but I'm interested to see if there will be a second part as it sets up nicely for continuing.

Historia
Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.

The book I didn't know I needed
Revisado: 01-21-21
This book was very relevant to me. Shame is the quiet killer and I didn't know how much I have endured nor how I gave it out. there were things I didn't even know were actually shame inducing. It's amazing how many things are connected to shame. Very helpful for those on a personal journey or for therapists, teachers anyone who works directly guiding others.

Historia
Burnout. Many women in America have experienced it. What’s expected of women and what it’s really like to be a woman in today’s world are two very different things - and women exhaust themselves trying to close the gap between them. Sisters Emily Nagoski, PhD, and Amelia Nagoski, DMA, are here to help end the cycle of feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Instead of asking us to ignore the very real obstacles and societal pressures that stand between women and well-being, they explain with compassion and optimism what we’re up against - and teach us how to fight back.

what every woman who is tired of being tired needs

this is the second book by the author that I've listened to and I really like the way that she uses story inter laced with research that backs up all of the content she talks about. the things that I thought I was experiencing alone turned out to be more universal and they actually had names! This is a sharer!
