Loved it! Michelle is a person who cares deeply—about herself, about others and about her country. She has done much to improve all three. I am grateful for and for her husband and their gifts to us all. It was a truly inspirational book.

Suspenseful! Just when you think nothing more can happen, it does. These people are so strong and seem to be able to overcome anything. Love keeps it together and triumphs in the end.

Very good book. Loved the way the story unfolds a little at a time through narration of the 3 main characters. Great insight into how abusers manipulate their victims. Ian was despicable and Jenna was resilient.

Charming book

Great story. My book club friends will love it for the fact that it involves a book seller and it's Paris setting.
My only wish is that there had been chapter designations.

Great suspenseful story! I loved all the references to Dante, mythology, operas and quotes from literature and the descriptions of the art.
I could imagine being there!
My only complaint was that most of the characters were young and the narrator had an "old" voice.

Although there are some good ideas, the author appears somewhat obsessive. Giving feelings to objects is beyond my beliefs.

Suspenseful book for music lovers

I enjoyed the story. I loved having the music played throughout and hearing the entire waltz at the end. I had just completed another book about Jewish musicians in Venice as the holocaust was approaching!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Splendour Falls to be better than the print version?

The story was good, somewhat suspenseful. The narration was painfully slow. I had to turn up the speed on my iPod. The French accents were well done.

I didn't read the print version, but either way, it was a wonderful story.

What other book might you compare A Dog's Purpose to and why?

Racing in the Rain because the story is told by the dog.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the entire book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. It helped me to think of what my animals--dogs, cats and horses--must think about what we human guardians do. I hope I can be even more loving and patient with them.

I bought this book on a 3 for the price of 1 sale just to take advantage of the offer. I probably would not have paid full price for it. But after listening to it, I think it is one of the best books I have ever read, and it is worth buying at full price. I have been telling anyone who has a dog about it.
