love the new series
Revisado: 08-08-24
Having read Heather Harris's other series I was excited to see a new one starting. Engaging characters and enough of a mystery to make it interesting. The narrator is good and makes Bunny's story flow. Worth a listen!

Another winner in the Elfhome series

Despite the negative reviews, I found this book to be exactly what was needed to get to the next level of the story. Enough background in the day to let everyone know what is happening and to anticipate what is coming. Excellent story, excellent narration. So looking forward to the next book!

Historia
My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic. And a coyote shape-shifter. And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack. Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadn’t stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who live in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground.

Things are going in an interesting direction
Revisado: 05-19-19
I was happy that this book didn’t feature Mercy either being kidnapped or having the crap beat out of her. The book took things in a different direction with the natural consequence of her declaration of the neutrality of the Tri Cities. The moving in on the territory of the Pack by various baddies is inevitable with everyone trying to test the waters, so to speak. This opens the world up in new ways with unlimited possibilities. I also appreciated the further development of Mercy’s powers and control over her native abilities. A much enjoyed addition to the series.

Historia
Betrayed, terrified and alone, Elizabeth Cage has fled her home. With no plan and no friends, she arrives at the picturesque village of Greyston and finds herself involved in an ages-old ceremony that will end in death. And that might be the least of her problems - the Sorensen Institute would very much like to know her whereabouts. And Michael Jones is still out there, somewhere, she hopes. No matter how far and how fast she can run, trouble will always find Elizabeth Cage.

As with all Jodi Taylor books: A Winner!
Revisado: 11-15-18
Jodi Taylor has become my favorite author, everything she writes is engaging. I very much enjoyed this follow up to “White Silence” and the development of main character Elizabeth’s self confidence. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
The only regret I have is the change in narrator. Although Julie Teal did a very nice job I felt the previous narrator had a younger voice, more in keeping with Elizabeth’s apparent age. Well worth listening to with either lady reading though.
