Historia
Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies, releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential.

Great read, physical book feels necessary
Revisado: 07-02-24
While the audiobook was phenomenal this is one of those books where the lessons are so actionable you’re left wishing you had the physical book so you could go through the exercises while reviewing the book itself.
There are also several sections where you get big a-ha’s and need to pause and reflect on it before moving on. Again, this is easier and more practical with a physical book.
On the other hand, listening on audiobook is a great introduction that makes the physical book the ideal second step.

Not what I expected but somehow what I needed
Revisado: 06-05-24
I was taken aback by the content of this book and nearly out it down just a few minutes in. I’m glad I didn’t because it did provide a lot of answers I didn’t know I needed.
However, after listening to the entire thing I realized the final chapter is an interview with the author where he summarizes the book and provides context for what he teaches and how it fits with the books promise.
I wish they had started with that chapter so I’d know what the science discussed in the book (biology and biochemistry mainly) has to do with the topic I came to learn about.
Other than that, the “book” is actually a seminar Nick taught at some point in the early 2000’s (I assume from his references). He’s an engaging speaker and I found the lectures entertaining and very enlightening. Just don’t expect a book being read.
All in all, it was well worth the credit and the time invested in it.

No matter your business, this book will help you serve your clients better
Revisado: 01-19-20
I love all of David’s books. But this one in particular is amazing. I couldn’t stop listening to it and have already read the kindle and listened to the audible version.
It’s well researched, incredibly written and narrated perfectly by both authors.
Every page is filled with tons of actionable advice, showing you why and how to build a fan base amongst your clients.
I highly recommend this book.

Amazing book and great read
Revisado: 01-02-20
You will not regret listening to this book. Loved everything about it.
If anything, I recommend you get the printed or kindle version as well since it’s easier to do the exercises following that vs the audio.
But the audio is great to reference and listen on the go.

Crystal clear recommendations and next steps
Revisado: 12-17-19
It's one of those business books that you can actually follow and get its knowledge from in audio format. Yes, there is a downloadable worksheet and some accompanying imagery but you can easily access those without having to opt in to download them.
If you are unsure about your marketing strategy (or lack thereof), this is a great book to read. Highly recommended.

Better than the book!
Revisado: 03-31-16
I thought the book was really good... Until I listened to this version! Here you also get more of that raw, high-energy passion that Gary puts into everything he produces.
If you're a follower of the show, you'll find this very familiar yet some answers are different from what he said when he was asked these questions before.
All in all, this is a great, fresh, content and strategy-packed product anyone can get tons of info from.

Historia
Create your next breakthrough. Mad Genius is a unique audiobook for entrepreneurs - and for employees who want to think like entrepreneurs. It will help you unleash the innate creative genius inside you. Every industry has its sacred cows and accepted practices. These are often based upon foundational premises that are no longer valid - if they ever were. There's a reason Facebook was birthed in a dorm room, Amazon.com came from people not in the bookstore business, and UBER was created by people who weren't from the taxi industry.

Revisado: 01-28-16
I've read all of Randy's books so far and although I think Risky is the New Safe was tremendously good, I'm certain this one is even better. Although if you haven't, I suggest you read Risky... Before you pick this one up; it will make more sense that way I think.
And Randy's narration makes it even better.

Awesome book, TERRIBLE narration
Revisado: 09-06-15
What made the experience of listening to 6 Months to 6 Figures the most enjoyable?
Great advice. Clear, actionable recommendations. Chapters are short and to the point.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I am surprised that the author did not get a professional to narrate this book. Every %$!·/&( sentence has an upward inflection making them sound like questions instead of statements. Terribly annoying. It definitely ruins this otherwise phenomenal book.
Any additional comments?
Get the book in print. Then read it, study it, and apply it. It's pure gold. But avoid the audible version like the plague.
I would've listened to this book (repeatedly and) in a single sitting if it wasn't for how annoying the narration was.
Do you want to know how bad it is? Search for "upward inflection family guy" on Youtube. It's exactly like that.
