Very disappointed that this reading ended at Chapter 11. Is there a plan to complete the reading?

Definitely an Original
Revisado: 04-28-21
Loved this story from beginning to end. The performance was brilliant; I love it when the performer can "do voices" and this actor was excellent. This story sounded "real"; a "love triangle" that is happening daily, and the added pieces about class differences and raising children just sets the storytelling on fire. Chrisa Hutchison is a very talented writer.

Masterful. The depth of simplicity is astonishing. A magical relating that is at once familiar but certainly Ms. Washington’s own personal story. I was drawn in from the first breath.

Historia
A long-buried family secret resurfaces when one of Aloysius Pendergast's most implacable enemies shows up on his doorstep as a murdered corpse. The mystery has all the hallmarks of the perfect murder, save for an enigmatic clue: a piece of turquoise lodged in the stomach of the deceased. The gem leads Pendergast to an abandoned mine on the shore of California's desolate Salton Sea, which in turn propels him on a journey of discovery deep into his family's sinister past.

Thoroughly entertaining story. Well told.
Interesting characters, although some are more fully drawn than others. The narrator would not be ranked on gone of my favorites.
