Well-crafted novel

This writer is definitely gifted at defining characters at a visceral level. I detested most of the protagonists; found the story and mystery compelling and listened almost nonstop to the end. Some of the descriptions of the emotional dialogue between the hero and his mistress were a littly trying but this ia small complaint. I recommend this book.

I could not put my ipod down. I shut my eyes and I was transported to a West End theatre where I was entertained by a cast of amazing characters. The reader was magnificent, the plot was top notch British--very dramatic, full of the intellectual.

This year I have listened to 24 audio books and this is my favorite. Just an amazing book that manages to convey--in the author's own voice--the global universe that we are all becoming a part of, in its horror and its promise.
