Exceptional and mind-opening
Revisado: 04-12-25
I found this text absolutely amazing. I revisited the Four Agreements recently and added this to my library. I'm so glad I did. Peter Coyote, as always, does a wonderful job delivering the material - it's a performance; his accent and pronunciation of Mexican words is perfect and comes on at just the right moment!. He's very talented. I feel like Miguel Riiz was reading the book. The concepts are deep with meaning and interpretation. The symbolism of the Adam and Eve story is SO mind-expanding and revealing to me, it felt to me like suddenly, "it all made sense"! It is so simple but deeply profound. I loved this book and have listened to it al least 5 times and I always hear something more. The review of the 4 Agreements was a big repetitious but wonderful for those who might have not read it. Belief and Knowledge are so clear=ly different but it's so easy to turn our beliefs into TRUTH or facts and then the whole path and meaning is lost. I deeply enjoyed this material and I experience a more joyful life as a result.

Historia
In The Four Agreements, a New York Times best seller for over seven years, don Miguel Ruiz revealed how the process of our education, or “domestication,” can make us forget the wisdom we were born with. Throughout our lives, we make many agreements that go against ourselves and create needless suffering.

Common Sense Wisdom
Revisado: 04-01-25
Loved this almost as much as the ORIGINAL FOUR. Peter Coyote does a FANTASTIC job deliverying this content. He has the perfect voice for this - sometimes it's not so complimentary with narration. He's great. The wisdom. of this material is exceptional. And it's so simple. The world will look very different to you when you're finished.

Loved the material, not the narrator
Revisado: 03-10-25
The material was great but the narrator was not a good match for the material, in my opinion. He was sort of hard and loud and read very fast like an automaton ... not great for material like this. Some of these concepts are hard to take in and he read so fast.

Short on usable content
Revisado: 07-09-23
Although Kim reads every sentence VERY enthusiastically, as if each and every line is bold or italics, I found the content to be very short on clear useable instruction on exactly HOW to accomplish the goals put forward. Although the phrase has been around for years now, I still have no idea what "raise your vibration" means, and even less on how to actually make it happen. When people are very, very ill, playing the "'As-if' Game" and telling yourself how much you love yourself, hardly seems like a sound strategy for real change. The strategies seemed overly simplistic.

Exceptional Articulate Instruction
Revisado: 01-10-23
Harris is brilliant and fluent in the delivery of this insightful content. I appreciate the word economy and precision. Occasionally he goes too far in smashing opposing views. Specifically, he slams near-death-experiences. In my opinion, his sarcastic and dismissive near death experience, seemingly because they do not fit with his views. Although he says his mind is "open" on the topic , it most obviously is not. He sarcastically dismisses the accounts of experiencers and repeats over and over the best-selling details pointing this out as if it were the reason all these people reveal them. I was disappointed with his narrow-minded, cherry-picking response . That aside, Harris's knowledge on meditation is excellent.

Should be NYT BEST SELLER - Especially NOW (2021)
Revisado: 09-14-21
It is unfortunate that there are, at least at the time of my review, there are less than 500 reviews. AMERICANS NEED TO WAKE UP!!! This is MANDATORY READING!!!
Step away from the TV, Facebook, Netflix and the mainstream media and find out what is REALLY going on. COVID, the "vaccine" and the push, push, push for it and all the fishyness, the unanswered questions and false info we are fed by the media will take on a whole new meaning when you realize that the pharmaceutical industry has been corrupt from the beginning of time. We are told incorrect information, people die mysteriously, Big Pharma gets richer and richer, we get sicker and sicker . Anthony Fauci is NOT America's Family Doctor!! He should be in jail. Judy is a brilliant scientist and has seen more corruption than any honest researcher should ever have to know. She is credible and has deep insight into many fields. TRUST HER. And tell your friends!

I almost didn’t publish Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. Here I was, a CEO who’d fallen apart after his company failed, writing a book about how loving himself saved him. I thought I’d be a laughingstock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. The book went viral. Amazing people all over bought copies for friends and family. For some, this book saved their lives. For others, it was the first time they ever loved themselves.

I always love when the author reads his/her own book but his reading was really kind of flat - he just sounded really inauthentic. He gave it a good try to EMPHASIZE words and say them louder or longer but it still didn't sound like it came from the guy who felt and read it. It sounded so fake and forced. Honestly, I am surprised to find this work a best-seller that everyone thinks is amazing. Really? Talking to yourself in the mirror, this is new? And he prefaced it with "people are gonna think I'm really crazy when I tell them to do this ...: look at yourself in a mirror and tell yourself you love yourself. New? Groundbreaking? Affirmationing-yourself to death? I am guessing a lot more of this had to do with his entrepreneurialship,. I don't doubt his heartbreak and depression were real and I guess if it got him out of it, great. I don't know we flock to someone who has recovered or even had groundbreaking enlightenment experiences so we can read it and have it happen to us when a person's entire life led up to that moment and it can't possible be captured in a book ore experienced by anyone who reads it! I was left pretty unmoved. I really don't understand how AMAZING everyone thinks this is. Americans are so prone to hype and hero-worship.

Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. So most of us perform, please, and perfect, all the while thinking, What if I can't keep all of these balls in the air? Why isn't everyone else working harder and living up to my expectations? What will people think if I fail or give up? When can I stop proving myself?

Nothing new
Revisado: 11-22-18
I couldn't stomach this, but God knows I tried. I don't understand the near-perfect reviews. I tried it hard since it was mentioned in a book by an author I respect. I gave it a fair chance but found it not all that enlightening. The narration, who sounded like a newly discovered smarty-pants, did a poor impersonation of the author. It just sounded like the same old stuff - major psychological breakdowns turned into cheeky, amusing story. To me, it sounded common and cliche. Maybe I'm just tired of this kind of I Just Want to be Me memoir.

THE BEST MANIFESTATION BOOK OUT THERE!
Revisado: 01-30-18
What made the experience of listening to The Power of Your Subconscious Mind the most enjoyable?
I rarely write reviews but this one deserved it! Every single principle of the Law of Attraction and Manifestation is covered and expanded upon in this book - although the author does not thrown those terms around constantly as in other books. THE NARRATOR IS SPECTACULAR. I always felt as if the author himself was narrating this book. I usually pick books where the author narrates because they, alone, know exactly how it supposed to be read. With this book, this is not the case. The narrator deserves 10 stars. I could listen to this work over and over and over again - which I have done. The content is rich with specifics, examples and steps to practice. This book was written a long time ago and sometimes the language and examples are a little "dated" but move beyond that and with a little creativity, the material can be practiced and applied to your life today. It's refreshing to see more formal and polite language used!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Power of Your Subconscious Mind ?
The most important points in each chapter appear as a bullet-list at the end of each chapter. The book is available for free online which is an excellent companion to the audible version.
Which character – as performed by Sean Pratt – was your favorite?
As stated, the narrator is EXCELLENT! I always felt that it was the author narrating. His tone, inflection and pace were perfect. He knew what to impress and what not too. He wasn't perky and overly upbeat which, at least to me, lessen the performance. The narrator delivery of the content was just superb.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
Among so many great things to say about this book, the most important points and comments are bullet-listed at the end of each chapter. The details of affirmations and visualization are excellent.
Any additional comments?
Do not hesitate to buy this book. It is a staple for those wishing to attract and manifest what you want in life. It's not about wishing and sitting back on your couch waiting for things to plop in your lap. It's about work and practice. This book tells you how to do just that. BUY IT NOW and don't waste your time with so many other inferior books.
