What does an elite Navy SEAL Team operator trained to kill the United States’ most dangerous enemies do when he realizes his skills aren’t being properly utilized? He leaves the Navy. In American Mercenary, Daniel Corbett takes listeners on a wild ride through the unadulterated, morally ambiguous, and riveting world of being a hired gun. Save your money and time!!!!’nnReviews are definitely wrong. Worst operator book I’ve ever read or listened to.
Revisado: 12-21-24
First 5 hours is about planning to go on missions that never happen?? Wtf ? No other operator writes books about missions he could have went on and had called off!? Like dam really. Book is a waste . They don’t post my reviews . I’ve rewrote this thing several times and never shows up. All I see is 5 stars reviews… bs! It’s garbage. Listen to when they add to library for free reading. Save your money. Skip at least 5 hours!

Historia
Investigative journalist Matthew Cole tells the story of the most lauded unit, SEAL Team 6, revealing a troubling pattern of war crimes and the deep moral rot beneath authorized narratives. From their origins in World War II, the SEALs have trained to be specialized killers with short missions. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan became the endless War on Terror, their violence spiraled out of control. Code Over Country details the high-level decisions that unleashed the SEALs’ carnage and the coverups that prevented their crimes from coming to light.

The preview sample is misleading
Revisado: 03-01-22
The preview sounds great but just as it cuts off then you get what the real book is about. I should have checked the reviews. The reviews are correct. This is someone who may be award winning journalist but until you have truly lived trained done the things they have done. It’s not really fair to try to assume how they are and how things should have went . They are the best of the best no question. They are also still human and can make mistakes. War isn’t not for the faint of heart and is supposed to be a last resort. If you are going to fight a war yes sometimes even innocent people are going to get killed and it’s ashame. No wars have ever been fought where someone didn’t get killed. It just comes off as someone speaking like a subject matter expert who really shouldn’t because they have not done the basics let alone green team to even be selected. Just seems like just picking out the flaws errors and catastrophic disaster missions. Dudes 100’s of 1000’s over the years obviously they are bound to have some go sideways to bad . Rather wish I hadn’t gotten this but just listened to preview and bought on spur of the moment. Oh and author takes you on a long history lesson back to udt and frogmen til now . Which I’m sure many have already heard in other countless books kinda like buds .

Now the tales he could not tell, the secrets he could not reveal explode in Rogue Warrior II: Red Cell - a riveting ne novel with Marcinko himself as the hero.

Revisado: 08-24-18
It’s ashamed Richard Marcinko has read more books. Great voice and knows exactly how to put the right voice inflection in the words and how to word it for great entertainment. Thank God our side had Richard Marcinko and other men like him. Absolutely love the man and all his books. No one reads special ops books like Marcinko a Legend no doubt. You read his books all other war books are weak

Historia
Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Would you ever listen to anything by Napoleon Hill and Sharon Lechter (editor) again?
Napoleon Hill yes .. Someone kinda using and rearranging his words no

Dude says God has faults that's enough to stop listening to him Navy Seal or not that is the dumbest thing I've heard
Revisado: 02-01-16
Chapter 4 33:11 this guy has audacity to say God has faults .. WTF ? I stopped listening to it and wish I could get my money back .. Anyone ...Navy Seal or not that says that you can bet I don't want any advice from.. That's just ludicrous.. Sorry I would never recommend this book to anyone and might be a good book but brother that statement is a deal breaker for me. God is Perfect.. It's we smart as humans who think we know it all who continue to screw up this planet

Great book about a Forgotten Icon
Revisado: 06-16-15
This is a very good book about Patton the Legend and the man .. Maybe someone will uncover new facts about his death but it sure fits a timeline where cia types were assassinating people who seem cause disturbances to status que kinda along lines how Marilyn Monroe.. Government can get rid of you .. We do have over 600 secret jails .. You can fit one n be forgotten.. Sorry off topic Great great book
