Heartbreaking stories beautifully told.

If this had not been a book group selection, I probably would not have read it. I know stories of Palestinian people only through history and the news. My appreciation of this book is not balanced by true accounts of anyone in my community as I do not know any who live here. Hopefully my awareness has been raised so that when I do travel to larger and more urban communities, I will have more understanding.
