I had accidentally run into Deresiewicz's article "Solitude and Leadership" and decided to look him up, which led to me adding some of his titles to my wish list and eventually reading them.
It's an interesting angle to write from, which I enjoyed, as well as the timeless insights about human nature and our relationships. I never felt like I had a real handle on these things. The book helped me form a more solid outlook and knowing the priorities from which to look at people in my life.
It wasn't always easy to follow, but the takeaways and insights are clear and, most importantly, logically understandable.

Overall, most of the general spirited child info can be found in articles online these days. But I'm giving this book and the author extra credit for being one of the first.

The routine-instilling methods are insanely elaborate and were unnecessary for my daughter. It was much more important to make sure she eats animal protein and fruit or starchy veg instead of the crackers, cereals and sugar nonsense people give to their children.

If you ever go down memory lane to when you were a child, you're likely to recall that you were not properly instructed on how to go about things, punishments never really worked, and most of the time there was much misunderstanding between you and the grown ups. Well, this book does an excellent job at showing you how to change that with your child(ren) and often recruit them to search for solutions to issues together. Personally, in some of the examples presented, I would word things differently. But that's besides the point. The concepts themselves are golden.

A great series which puts ancient knowledge and human adaptability in perspective with what we commonly see of religions today. Makes it easier to understand all the origins and meanings, intentions of how our thought came about and how they were necessary to make exist and make peace with the brutal operations of the world we inhabited. So much of these meanings are still needed today.

Swift Reads did an excellently executed summary. However, the book itself is nothing you can't find online just by searching for the topic. Yes, too much screen time, online and social media is bad for us in many different ways. We should learn to manage it. That's pretty much the extent of it.

This book is immensely helpful to anyone planning to start their own business or improve their existing one. It delivers the core understanding of what business essentially is and how to set it up to be successful. It removes the veil and haze of mystery, making it much more realistic and attainable. And it performs all the better due to the brevity and to-the-point style of delivery. There are many books on this topic, but this title is one of the true gems.

Some good messages that cut through some of the current mainstream ridiculousness. I found the overbearing amounts of allegories and metaphors more confusing than helpful. They should have been an attachment at the end in my opinion.
