Was not sure I’d like it as it started but then it became a FAVORITE
Revisado: 12-09-17
I wasn’t sure I would like this in the beginning. But as it got going I absolutely loved it! This guy has told his story about getting through something that most people could never get through. It was far from easy. He did don’t hold back on all the personal and grisly details, which I love in a book. I’m glad it was a true story.
I hated to have to stop listening when I had to listen to the real world. Haha.

I really enjoyed this book, which I got on audiobook. It got me interested the whole way through. It was not the usual Holocaust
stories that I am used to.

So great written by someone 'in the know'
Revisado: 01-31-17
I didn't know this was written by Glen Closes sister before started to read it. I think it's especially awesome just because of that fact!! Because, I appreciate any books written by someone with mental health issues. I hope to write my own one day. I love Glenn Close and now I love her sister Jesse Close even more!
Read it. It's worth your time!

The book was recommended. I thought it would be more like a story. ( I know, boo me right?) But it was very factual and I learned so much about what my doggies in my charge are thinking. Highly recommend!

It was OK except for the voices
Revisado: 01-20-17
I don't know why I ever chose this book. I'm usually not into love stories. It was all very easy to guess what was happening next. It would have been much more enjoyable without aunt Dodie and the children's voices. Especially aunt Dodie. It was too high-pitched and annoying! The children's voices just seem to false, but at least I did not have to turn down my sound every time they spoke like I did with the aunts voice. She she grated on my nerves!

Good stories that ended to abruptly
Revisado: 10-16-16
I liked most of the stories. I just didn't realize it wasn't one whole connected story. So for a while I was confused. I was also thrown off by the fact that the reader was a male but the story lines in some cases were from a girl or woman's point of view. So I kept having to remember that and rewind so I understood.
Even so I did enjoy listening to this. Kept me entertained and wanting more..however, I felt that the majority of the stories could have lasted longer or ended better. The in between part was good though.
Hope that makes sense to you reader review people

Chapters playing out of order and readers voice turning off and on like a bad signal... Would have been a good story
Revisado: 06-15-16
I started out really liking this book for the first five or so chapters maybe more. However after a while the chapters played out of order.. I have no idea what was going on in many chapters because of this. PLUS, around chapter 19 his words kept skipping so it was too hard to figure out what the heck he was saying. It's a shame because I really would have enjoyed this book if you played all the way through correctly.
I really don't even think I should have to pay for this one

Very good listen
Revisado: 04-27-16
I liked this audio book but I had to rewind a few time because I kept forgetting who people were. A lot of different people were introduced early on and when this happens I tend to lose focus on who's who.
It was an interesting story non the less.

The first 3 were better
Revisado: 02-04-16
I was very into the first 3 so it was a bit of a disappointment to come to the last one that cost around triple the first 3 prices and not like it as much.
It started of so strangely that I kept thinking I missed something. Then I had to keep going back to relisten on other parts because it was a bit confusing. I found that I would zone out a lot because it seemed like he was going over the same things at times. This may have been my fault, just because I kept getting the characters confused in the last book.
Still I enjoyed listening.
I didn't time the story but it did not seem like it was as long as was stated in the book description which said it was 4 hours and something long.
