Truly a funny story

I found myself laughing at loud multiple times throughout this book. Always great narration by Whelan though she sometimes sounds depressed or annoyed. Great book.

I’ve really grown to like Katie Bailey’s books. They make me happy. Maybe I was too distracted while listening to this one but it’s not my favorite. I thought it was missing something. The female narrator was great. The male was not awesome. His voices other than the male lead were kind of distracting to me.

WAY TO CRUDE

I hate to sound like a prude. I LOVE her last book with Olive and Adam. This book I loved until it got to the bedroom. The words she uses are so vulgar it seems out of character for the characters. Maybe I just prefer more romantic terms than what she uses. I had to stop with two hours left because I was so turned off by the words and how they spoke to each other or how she described it. When someone says, “I want to f you” I am turned off. It doesn’t feel like love or romance but lust and just and action.

Good but could trigger

Such a good read. I really liked the story and depth of relationships. There should be a trigger warning for those who have suffered emotional/psychological abuse though. I was an emotional victim and not as intense as Harriet. I could handle it but I imagine that it would be very hard for others.

Fun story, a little crude

I read so many reviews looking for what I'm about to type: if you don't like graphic language regarding intimate scenes, don't read this. If you are okay with that, this book is for you.
I didn't love the female narrator but I love Teddy Hamilton anytime.
The book was hilarious and I really did enjoy it. I will admit I fast-forwarded through quite a few sections to avoid words I feel are crude. If the writer had just left out those words I would've loved this book. This was my first book of hers. Not sure if I'll read more given the graphic nature of her scenes. There are by far more graphic writers but this pushed the envelope for me a bit too far.

Push through and it’s good

The narration really bothered me but I pushed through and really enjoyed the story. The story had surprises and some predictability. Overall a good read.

Another great story

Lily Chu's first book was hard to top. This probably ties with it. A great story, excellent narration. Sometimes I wished the narrator said words a little differently so Ari was a little more likable. Worth the listen for sure.

Speed up reading for best experience

Sarah Adams is a new favorite. Every book is great. This was no different. The only tip is to speed up the narration. The reading is super slow. I sped up to 1.1 and maybe could’ve gone to 1.2.

Narrator wasn't great

I'm sure she's a lovely person and is great in other books. This narration though just about made me stop a few times. The book is fun.

Slow moving

This book took forever. There's a scene early on where the main character smokes pot in the driveway. I gave up there. It felt pretty disjointed (no pun intended) and I thought I understood the character until that moment. I didn't feel like it fit how I understood her character. Maybe it's just me though.
