Whiny, weak MFC as read. Book better

I like Melanie’s creative stories based on fairytales. I liked Esther’s reading in an earlier book, but this series she keeps using breathy, high-pitched, weak-sounding and whiny voices for the main female characters. I keep wondering how they don’t just keel over and faint instead of facing the next obstacle. I won’t be listening to more.
