The first two books in the series were really fun and I would never regret buying them and reading them over and over again. But the writing in this one was definitely amped up from the last two. This is a really fun story that had some tense parts without being too scary, and was a really fun listen/read from beginning to end. Home run for Brandon Mull!

This story is well written, Inventive, and engaging. Great imaginary scenery. Even when you have listened to it several times you still enjoy the story and the adventure.

The girl in the book was supposed to be an early teen. The narrator they got for the girl made her sound like a like a VERY little girl. It was confusing and threw me off all the way through the book. I struggled finishing it. I liked that the book was clean and I could share it with children. The book wasn't concentrated around romance which was nice since it was a kids book. I also loved that the book was built around learning and improving them selves. That was my favorite part.

Super fun and inventive

Loved the strength and emotional intelligence of the characters in this book. This is something Josie killpack has done in a lot of her books, She makes stronger female characters. This is why I have bought many of her books. I love the Both the female and male characters in this book. The one problem I have with this book is at the end it turned into more of a fairy tale. Little disappointing.

Love this book series

I love that in these book series that her female characters show some strength! She did a good job with getting some of the traits down of somebody that has is on the spectrum. Not that she ever mentioned autism in the book. Sadly, what she discribes is not what it's like to be married to somebody that is on the spectrum. The female character in this story starts out being strong. But no matter the excuse that was made, she pretty much gave up everything to be married and he gave up almost nothing. That sadly is very common for the time period and being in marriages like this. I don't think relationships like this should ever be romanticized. I think this will give people the idea that this kind of thing is easy, and it's not! This sets people up for failure thinking that being married to somebody who has these struggles is going to work out like any other relationship just a little harder.. That is not realistic. A marriage like that is FILLED difficulties! A lot more than marriages between people that are both neurotypical. I had my finger up throughout the book trying to decide if I was going to like the story or not and it was very dependant on how it ended.. If it ended like some kind of cute love story instead of the realistic story that was being set up, I was not going to enjoy the storyas a whole.

The female character just starts to crumble most of the way through the book when some problems arise.. I am all about strong women! The story had too many flaws. Just can't enjoy it.

The book is fantastic!

In the several times I read this book, I not once pictured the heroine of the book to be a slow, depressed, sardonic teenager. I love the book so much that I gave it four stars but the performance of the person that read the book was so very off. I don't know if the lady that read the book was just trying to read it for the 1st time? Maybe that's why she paused so much and was so slow at the reading of the book? Sadly the performance really lacked! This is so sad for me because I have been emailing audible for years to please get these books in. So disappointing! But I love the author

Fun, Clean, & Captivating

This was a very cute book and I became engrossed in the book very quickly. I recommend this book for kids and adults.
