Historia
Set in the suburbs of New York in the 1950s, Wait Till Next Year is Doris Kearns Goodwin's touching memoir of growing up in love with her family and baseball. She re-creates the postwar era, when the corner store was a place to share stories and neighborhoods were equally divided between Dodger, Giant, and Yankee fans.

Historia
The true story of what took place in Donald Trump’s White House during a disastrous 2020 has never before been told in full. What was really going on around the president, as the government failed to contain the coronavirus and over half a million Americans perished? Who was influencing Trump after he refused to concede an election he had clearly lost and spread lies about election fraud? To answer these questions, Phil Rucker and Carol Leonnig reveal a dysfunctional and bumbling presidency’s inner workings in unprecedented, stunning detail.

The Worst President, ever.
Revisado: 08-14-21
I have kept up with live T.V. of a true narcissistic human. I truly believe he won by the finagling of our nations computer system. I am not saying who hacked it, but I believe I know and we all know and this was hinted at by the orange haired President, when he would call out to the President of another country to do this and that when he was running. This time it didn't work. Thanks to smarter people who were on the ball this time. Other words were fed into the American's such as Fake news. This was to throw off some people that seem to believe anything they are fed. All they have to do is look back at who the leader of Fake News was and is. Just please review the live news coverage to see the holes in what was fed to the American's before and after the past President took the election. His fake news no longer works. Thanks to the people who voted him out and brought Joe Biden in.

This book is so inspiring, and Max Lucado is a great writer, calming and loving he writes his books. I enjoyed the lucidity of his words and meaning. I can't wait to listen to more of his writings.

Historia
In her best-selling debut, Commencement, J. Courtney Sullivan explored the complicated and contradictory landscape of female friendship. Now, in her highly anticipated second novel, Sullivan takes us into even richer territory. For the Kellehers, Maine is a place where children run in packs, showers are taken outdoors, and old Irish songs are sung around a piano. By turns wickedly funny and achingly sad, Maine unveils the sibling rivalry, alcoholism, social climbing, and Catholic guilt at the center of one family, along with the abiding, often irrational love that keeps them coming back....

Too many characters to keep up with and a weak plot which ended abruptly. My husband and I are still sitting here with "Is that all their is" mentality. Shucks!

I still wonder why he can't convince his wife we're right. Although I think I know. They are in love no matter what and I respect that. The people at the top should not run our personal lives.

Wonderful presentation of truth.
Revisado: 01-07-19
I was saying Amen as I listened to this well thought out book. I will read again, and again. The dignity of America is represented so well. Michelle's parents, ger love for her family, her back behind the scenes with her husband are honest and her love for her family is palatable. I am so happy to have lived during President Obama's and his families time in the Whitehouse. Chaos was not part of this beautiful families agenda. They were real, truthful, honorable people who did so much for our Country and I am grateful to the time, effort and truth of this family.

In 1900, Isaac Monroe Cline was in charge of the Galveston station of the US Weather Bureau. He was a knowledgeable, seasoned weatherman who considered himself a scientist. When he heard the deep thudding of waves on Galveston's beach in the early morning of September 8, however, Cline refused to be alarmed. The city had been hit by bad weather before.

Lots of training about weather forecasting plus.
Revisado: 12-09-17
The story begins as a lesson in forecast training, and later sets the stage further by describing an oasis of island living, a sense of community, greed, a time of serenity, and normalcy in a rich local, but hold on to your gasps, for a storm is about to wipe out all by placing 12 feet of water on top of the once beautiful life of those who called Galveston home.

Historia
Millions of Karon fans will be thrilled that it's life as usual in the wildly popular Mitford series: A beloved town character lands a front-page obituary, but who was it, exactly, who died? And what about the former mayor, born the year Lindbergh landed in Paris, who's still running for office? All this, of course, is but a feather on the wind compared to Muse editor J. C. Hogan's desperate attempts to find a cure for his marital woes. Will it be high-def TV or his pork chop marinade?
