I couldn't finish it

I just couldn't get into the book it slow to pick up it's just not for me and I'm disappointed in myself that I went ahead and purchased the next book super eager about the series and I couldn't make it through the first one

I was addicted to the men of whiskey row. and this is a companion series right along with it. same format it's just not as exciting as the whiskey row I'm going to listen to another one to see how well I really like it and for me a little bit too much sexual punishment

I personally cannot make it past chapter 7 it was it was too much smut for me I was intrigued I read all these reviews and a kept coming up underneath recommended for me but boy oh boy things I did not know could happen . if you're like a soft text reader this may be a little bit too much for you.

another long-winded book

it was like word vomit I mean has a great plot I made it through three books just because of the plot alone however this woman just word vomited on the paper she just kept it over explaining s*** over and over and over and over again to the point where I really want to return these books I'm really mad that I wasted my life listening to three of these long winded books plot amazing yes the main part of the story got it like it that's the whole reason I stayed but my gosh oh my gosh this 35-year-old woman has a plot dialogue of a 12-year-old girl I just can't do it even the grown men they sound like 14-year-old girls I can't.

for me I like the overall storyline however it was the repetitiveness going back and forth will she won't she knowing darn well she would and then these thought monologues are not necessary for people over the age of 30. I just feel like they were trying to fill up page space you already explained your reasoning behind that thought three chapters ago you don't need to re explain yourself again and we're already in chapter 48 and you explain your thought process 15 times already not necessary three times Max revisit your thought process the beginning maybe the middle of the story and then again right before it happens or after as a review but my goodness I did however purchase the next book just because I want to know how this sweet 15 celebration goes and how they integrate lions and foxes but if this third book is long-winded like the second one was I'm out I'm not getting the fourth one

I feel like she's written the story a few times over again and all she did was recycle it and throw in some hip words and some homosexuals. I'm disappointed in myself that I brought the second book hoping that it would get better.
