Intriguing
Revisado: 06-28-24
I love history, and especially family history. This story is about secrets and the people who kept them. My only criticism is that the main character has moments of histrionics and volatility that are a little uncharacteristic, and at those times the reader’s voice gets really shrill. But the story is good, and worth the occasional anachronism.

Much Ado About Nothing
Revisado: 07-17-19
Repetitive, overly dramatic, written by someone with the emotional maturity of an adolescent. This could have been a short story. I would have enjoyed a few more in depth descriptions about the genealogical tactics employed. And isn't this a story about a crime? When are the police notified?

Unexpectedly engaging
Revisado: 08-01-17
Well written, never lost its pace. The plot took some unexpected turns, the heroine never disappointed me, although there were a few moments near the end when I did worry she would. Kept me engaged right up to the last moment. An unresolved but satisfying end, just as sometimes happens in life.

Where was this book 20 years ago?
Revisado: 07-20-17
This is a must-have reference for anyone who does ritual, energy work, astral travel...really, we could all benefit. I've been a witch for most of my adult life, and wish these techniques had been available when I set my foot on the path. I am looking forward to sharing them with my students. The only thing that would have improved this experience? If Ivo Dominguez himself had done the narration. Thank-you Audible, now where are the rest of his books?

When literary agent Peter Katz receives a partial book submission he is intrigued by its promise. The author, Richard Flynn, has written a memoir about his time as an English student at Princeton in the late 1980s, documenting his relationship with the protégée of the famous Professor Joseph Wieder. One night just before Christmas 1987, Wieder was brutally murdered in his home. The case was never solved. Now, 25 years later, Katz suspects that Richard Flynn is either using his book to confess to the murder or to finally reveal who committed the violent crime.

Ugh, drudgery to get through
Revisado: 01-05-17
Terrible narration. Story may have been okay, but with the bad telling I just couldn't get any enthusiasm for it. Plot pretty transparent, may have kept a few folks' interest, but any fan of the genre will have it solved halfway through.
Got it in a 2 for 1 holiday special...hope the other one is more worth the credit.
