Historia
There had been two men in that boat. Two. Rylie is positive . . . ish. Living with her parents may be driving her crazy, but not crazy enough to start conjuring up men in her mind—regardless of how long it had been since she’d had a date. As an urban park ranger, Rylie is practically surrounded by men all day, every day. Making up more in her head would only complicate her life further. When she confronts the one man remaining in the boat, he’s more eager to discuss her online dating profile than any possible wrongdoing.

Sassy, Cozy, Murdery Fun!
Revisado: 01-23-22
After finishing the audiobook of Catfished, the first book in the Rylie Cooper mystery series, I could hardly wait to get my hands on Suckered! I had read both books previously, but this narrator brings them perfectly to life, and they are so much fun to listen to! I’m already counting the days until the next book in this series releases on audio. Highly recommended!

Rylie hadn’t grown up wanting to be a park ranger (or move back home in disgrace) and she wasn’t sure what it involved, but she had to start somewhere. Rebuilding a life after being lied to, cheated on, and evicted, isn’t an exact science. She thought her first day on the job would be all fresh air and nature walks.

I was really excited to get my hands on CATFISHED when it finally released in audiobook—I’ve loved reading the Rylie Cooper Mysteries on my Kindle (and Bixby’s Magic Mane mystery series is super fun, too!) — the audio version did not disappoint! What a fun story! I couldn’t wait to get back to it every time I had to turn the book off and be an adult doing boring adult stuff. Highly recommended! Wonderful narration, and an all-around fun mystery. I can barely stand the wait for the next one, so bring it quickly, Stella Bixby!

Historia
Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

Phenomenal Storytelling... with a caveat
Revisado: 05-22-20
The story was beautiful, heart wrenching, and fully identifiable. It was funny, sharp, and poignant. Narration, well done.
The only reason I gave the “overall” category 4 stars was due to the sex scenes I wish would have been fade-to-black/closed-door. I assumed the earlier “interruptions” to passionate moments meant the story WOULD fade out when sex was nigh, and when it didn’t—well... just not my thing.
That being said... the first sex scene—the only one I listened to entirely—while too graphic for my personal reading/listening preferences was... (relatively) tasteful-ish. *cringe*
In my opinion, the on-scene sex scenes were... unnecessary—at least in the breadth and scope in which they were written. This author is amazing, and I have no doubt she could have portrayed the same tender passion without that vivid content. In my opinion (take it or leave it, because everyone has their own threshold) the admittedly excellent story would have been, if not STRONGER, of equal strength and beauty without that level of descriptive physical intimacy on the page. I was grateful for the 30 second jump-ahead feature when the subsequent rounds began, and used it. But dang... I had to push that button a lot to get to the other side!
Please note: This is a phenomenally well-told story, with fully realized characters that made me laugh and made me ache. I *will* likely read or listen to it again, skimming over or skipping through the things I do not wish to read/hear... now that I know where they are.
I hate having to selectively withhold my recommendation of such an otherwise brilliant book like this, or having to mention a content warning to certain people/audiences who would otherwise love the story but for the scope of the portrayal of physical intimacy. But... I will. Reading preferences are subjective, and some content can shock those not ready for it.

Historia
Three dragon shifters and a fierce heroine in a fast-paced young adult adventure...Lila McCarty used to see dragons. That was before they killed her mother, before she told everyone what happened and people stamped the “crazy” label on her head. Now, as a senior in high school, she has no time for dragon legends or the tourists who putter around her lighthouse. She just wants to graduate and get the hell out.

Easy listen while cleaning and organizing, but also a little meh
Revisado: 03-01-20
Story was fine, but I felt like the authors pulled references from pop culture and other books too often, which seemed, at times like a cop-out for describing something or someone. There were also a few instances of the protagonist saying or doing something that contradicted something said or done earlier... and then fixed the inconsistency with a fly-by-senentenc/internal thought a bit later. Overall, a fairly enjoyable tale with some interesting creature details for the shapeshifter lore. The world building for the main “real world” setting was good, but I really felt like. there wee some missed opportunities for world building within the dragon world. The “bad guy” was also too easy to guess, in my opinion. I will say there was one battle scene that was very well done, with a great pace. The authors hit all the right story beats, but not in a way that inspired imagination-fireworks for me.
The narrator was believable as the protagonist, and she had a nice range of voices, but... there were a few words that she pronounced so... unusually... that it kind of wrecked my suspension of disbelief for a bit after one of those words would pop up.
A decent enough listen to fit my needs today, but if you’re looking for edge-of-your-seat action or a truly believable romance arc, this might not be a good fit.

Riveting!
Revisado: 02-26-20
This story and performance are definitely deserving of 5 stars. What started out as something to pass the time while I tended to a giant pile of laundry and ironing ended up with me having basically lost a full of my life to this book, because I just had to keep listening. No regrets. Damron’s narration of Niall was great, but Erin deWard’s performance and differentiated range of voices was delightful—at times I wondered if another voice had been dubbed in for a few female characters. Superb narration. Kent’s story hits all the right thriller notes, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout, trying to out-guess her plot. Loved it and have already recommended this title to a friend.

Great story, not too crazy about narrator
Revisado: 01-22-13
What did you love best about The Reunion?
This is a great story. Dan Walsh's books have a "fullness" to them that is hard to come by... they're like Hallmark movies without the sappy overtones. Sweet, but with unexpected emotional depth.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The narrative was fine... until you got to a female character. It was very hard to believe that the female character was attractive or intelligent because she came off as a bit brainless and fairly transvestite-like. I know it's hard for a guy to pull off a woman's voice, but... it's been done before and done well. Not so much here. Reading the book is preferable to listening in this case (I did about 30/70).
Any additional comments?
Like I said before, this is a wonderful story. If you can keep your disbelief suspended through the dialogue, don't let it pass you by.
