Dr Hansen provides lots of useful and actionable insights in how our brain works, and it all makes sense.
Battling depression myself, like so many others, Anders offers insight into why we might be plagued by depression an understanding the mechanisms helps.

Waste of time. I was willing to give it a chance, and I did, but no. There are books for toddlers that are more riveting, thought provoking, and emotionally engaging than this. The premise had potential, if I have to write something positive.

This was just ignorant and offensive to the readers intellect.
Creds to the actors for putting up with performing this.

Warning, spoilers ahead.

The story, while hardly original, is entertaining and the collection is worth the credits if you just want to listen to pass time.
The characters are a bit flimsy and often too predictable to build up the suspension, but the real problem with the series is the massive plot hole in the overarching story: an Illuminati like international organisation goes through massive efforts to get the US to destroy an approaching alien object - one like the one discovered in the first book, which created the Chicxulub impact crater about 66 million years ago, killing much of the life on earth - and the way they want to destroy this alien object is by firing nuclear weapons at it. This is just silly, as we get to know in the first book, the one that impacted earth was still functional still after 66 million years and the impact with earth, which had an estimated impact force of about 100 million megaton, compare that to the total megaton of the nuclear weapons in the US and Russia combined have power equating to 6,600 megatons, making it very unlikely that it would make the slightest difference to avoid its impact with earth, and surely the many smart scientists would have known this and with little effort deflated that whole plot.
Another silly problem with this plot is that - as usual with so many US authors - it is the US standing alone facing the threat with other nations helplessly doing nothing or working against the US. Faced with such a threat, the world would more likely act as one Earth rather than individual nations, but that is just my speculation.

Good story somewhat ruined by narrator

Entertaining story though there are a few glaring plot holes which makes the scenario(s) somewhat contrived at times.
To me the worst part was the narrators portrayal of women voices who sound sedated, husky or whining in any and all situations, to the point i had a hard time continuing listening at times, it just got on my nerves.

After a long time of neglect in the shadows of the main story, Frank is finally fleshed-out with his own rich adventure.

Unfortunately, yet again The Stifel, with his monotonous, dreary growl, odd intonations and illiterate pronounciations makes this another challenge to the AO hooked listener. In the words of the almighty lord; “Sad”.
