What an amazing book!

This has to be one of the best books I've ever read, and that's saying a lot since I was reading novels at age 10! Everything was wonderful: the story, the characters, the mystery of it all. I had to listen to it again! I've never done that with a book, ha! Later on, I may just listen to it again to get even more of the nuances! You won't go wrong with this one, I promise!

This was a well written book with a harrowing story! It's a real thriller about a woman's worst nightmare that really keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great character descriptions and excellent narration.

I enjoyed the h*ll out of this book!!! Classic Preston on the order of "Relic"! An incredibly novel idea, great characters, lots of action, and a very well-developed story make this one of my favorite Preston novels, I think. Being a trained geologist and an anthropology/paleontology fan, I loved the whole experience! If you liked Preston & Child's early books, you will love this book! I highly recommend!

This book had the creepiest, twistiest, craziest plot of just about any book I've read! The narration was good, the story was excellent, and the characters were developed extremely well. Well worth a credit!

Not Typical Preston & Child!

I have read everything these two authors have written, and enjoyed all of them immensely...but... I was quite disappointed in this book. It started out like a typical fast-paced Preston & Child novel, another unusual case for the mysterious Agent Pendergast, but when I got to the middle of the book I started struggling to get through it. Side plot went nowhere and it had too much procedure and too little action. I actually fell asleep listening to the audio! The end picked up the pace, but just when it was getting exciting, the dang book ended without an end! No fair! Hopefully the next installment in the Dr. Leng story will be an improvement and I look forward to that novel! I'm not giving up on these guys yet!!!

I struggled to finish this book, and I normally love Lincoln Child's novels! I kept waiting for it to get better, and it just never did! Too much tech and not enough action for me. Really hate that I wasted a credit on this one.
