Historia
After receiving a mysterious note from the man claiming to be her brother’s confidential informant, Special Agent Amelia Storm decides to trust fellow agent Zane Palmer with the truth. But as Amelia tells Zane about her murdered brother’s activities and her own ties to the mafia world, they’re called into work. A federal judge, along with her husband and daughter, have been murdered execution-style. The case reeks of mafia involvement, but several aspects of the case hint at something more personal.

Disappointing
Revisado: 03-01-25
The story had great potential but there should have been more character development and the author seemed to care more for a cutesy plot twists than a logical progression of the story. I think an experienced bit of editing could have elevated this from an OK story to a great one

Poor writing
Revisado: 12-29-24
The plot was very predictable and poorly written. Something a beginning writer would pen. it was a waste of my money.

Historia
Powerful entertainment from the crime fiction superstar who combines riveting authenticity with witty, elegant prose. Best selling author Kathy Reichs "keeps the twists coming, and by the novel's climax, she has skillfully interwoven her many subplots and red herrings into a satisfying puddle of sex, sleaze, greed and gore," says Publishers Weekly.

I am always amazed by Ms Reich’s technical knowledge and find it fascinating. I got some of the names mixed up a bit The narrator spoke the French and Spanish flawlessly which doesn’t always happen. I’m going straight to the next in the series.

A pure joy of a listen
Revisado: 08-16-21
As almost everything Leslie Jordan does this book was done with a bit of irreverence but with an eagle eye to understanding of what is was like to grow up in the South. He does a masterful job as storyteller and i will remind him that any story worth telling is worth embroidering. He is indeed a Tennessee treasure.

Binge worthy
Revisado: 04-13-21
This story presents a tale that paints the rich landscape of Yorkshire of two lovers whom even time can’t separate. The characters are well developed and the plot just complicated enough to make it impossible to stop. It is definitely on my favorites list.

Funny & Enlightening
Revisado: 11-10-20
This book was not only witty but it also gave a great overview of Scottish history. I was very impressed by the story merged so seamlessly from Sam to Duncan and then back. They both have a great self deprecating sense of humor and I found myself laughing aloud on numerous occasions. This book is a must read not only for Outlander fans and history buffs but also for anyone interested in witnessing the development of a lasting friendship.
